This is a sub-page of Persona 5/Unused Voice Clips.

This cactus is UNDER CONSTRUCTION
This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
Hmmm...
To do:
  • MC has more unused lines. Sae and Goro has a ton as well.
  • Check the other confidants, I only looked through the sound files for those three so far.

Main Character

Time of Day

Audio Speech Notes
"Tomorrow!" The main character announcing tomorrow.
"The day after tomorrow!" The main character announcing the day after tomorrow.
"On a day off!" The main character announcing he has a day off.
"Monday!" The main character calling out the days of the week with different inflections. These lines were likely meant to be used during the transitions after going to sleep, and were likely cut for getting repetitive quickly.
"Tuesday!"
"Wednesday!"
"Thursday!"
"Friday!"
"Saturday!"
"Sunday!"

Sold Out Item

Audio Speech Notes
"It's sold out..." These lines were likely meant to have been used when trying to buy a sold out item. The main character remains silent when you do this in the final.
"Sold out!?"

Goro Akechi

Audio Speech Notes
"I wonder if the snow will stick?" Goro talking about the weather. He never talks to Joker in the overworld when it's snowing. They would later be used in Persona 5 Royal.
"It's rather cold!"
"I must go the same direction. I will accompany you partway." The context of this line implies Goro would've said this at the end of confidant meetings with him. His confidant is automatic in the final.

"Let Me Explain!"

Every major character in the game, apart from Igor and the Twins, have two voice clips, exclaiming variations of "Let me explain!" and "And that's it!"

The only characters to use them in-game, though, is Sojiro, who uses it when describing the different types of coffee beans and the protagonist, where it is used at the specific response if you cheat on one girl in the post-Valentine's Day event. The "And that's it!" line for the latter is still unused though. According to the December 2015 prototype build, Morgana's "Let me explain!" would play every time a regular gameplay tutorial was described.
