Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare/Unused Graphics
This is a sub-page of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.
Spotting & Roulette Icons
Grave Digger
Found in the files of the game are two unused graphics relating to the cut Grave Digger class, later turned into a boss before being cut out of the game entirely. The first is the spotting icon that would hover over it when it was away from the player's view, and the other is it's Boss Slots icon which would appear at the middle and end of Garden Ops.
Antidote Spotting Icon
The spotting icon for the antidotes found in the scrapped Chomp Virus mode. The 'antidotes' in game look completely different, though.
Radio Part Spotting Icon
Likewise, the spotting icon for the radio parts also found in the scrapped Chomp Virus mode can also be found in the game's files.
Ability Icons
Zombot Turret
An unused ability for the Engineer, which would've presumably placed down a Zombot Turret. It was replaced by the Zombot Drone in the final game, and although Engineers can build Zombot Turrets in the final game, they can only build them in select areas around teleporters. Interestingly, in the game's E3 trailer, the Zombot Turret can be seen as an ability, suggesting that this ability was cut quite late into the game's development.
Hand Grenade
An unused ability for the scrapped Gravedigger class, which was briefly planned for the Scientist class before being scrapped entirely. It would've walked towards an enemy before exploding. It was seemingly replaced by the Sticky Explody Ball, due to both abilities being related to explosives.
Unused Stickers/Cards
Stock Ability Cards
The game's progression revolves around collecting stickers from sticker packs. While there are stickers for most customizations and all unlockable abilities, the abilities that were in the game since launch have their own sticker cards that go unused due to them being unlocked through ranking up.

Sticker Packs
Several unused sticker packs can be found, one features a few zombies, one features a Heal Flower, and one features a Gargantuar. Interestingly, it appears to show a completely different lighting style, similar to that of Battle for Neighborville. The Zombie sticker pack is also used as the default graphic when a sticker pack doesn't have a graphic associated with it in Garden Warfare 2.
Unused Sticker Book Graphics
There are several unused sticker book graphics, with some showcasing unused cosmetics. Most of them have a completely different style compared to the sticker book graphics seen in the final game, showing full body renders and different lighting. Interestingly, most of them are also referred to as 'cards' in the game files.
Though they did go with stickers in the final game, the concept of collecting cards did make it's way into another game in the series 2 years later.
Peashooter
Placeholder icons for Peashooter customizations.
Chomper
A placeholder icon for a Chomper customization
Sunflower
Placeholder icons for Sunflower customizations.
Cactus
Placeholder icons for Cactus customizations (Power Cactus' has a very subtle amount of blue where her arms and body connects). Alongside this, there is an additional placeholder graphic titled "frozen".
Foot Soldier
Hats
Placeholder icons for Foot Soldier customizations. The remaining cards have varying file names, which could imply that the graphics in place of them are placeholder renders. Costumes
Placeholder icons for various Foot Soldier variants. Tank Commander's icon was overwritten by General Supremo's icon.
Engineer
Placeholder icons of Engineer customizations, alongside a never before seen customization titled "carpenter".
Scientist
A placeholder icon for a Scientist customization.
Consumables
Miscellaneous
Dummy Card
A dummy card, featuring a sad Yeti Zombie with the text 'CARD NO EXIST.' Was probably going to be used in the event something doesn't have a card graphic associated with it. This graphic also exists in Garden Warfare 2, for some reason.
