E3 2004 Teaser

A teaser trailer for the E3 2004 trailer. It's also got some small differences to it.

Differences

  • The SMG holds 60 rounds in the magazine, similar to the cut "SMG2" weapon from the leak build.
  • The crosshair and weapon ammo readings are the same as in the leak build.
  • Eli's Yale shirt is green, which was changed to blue and then changed to a Harvard shirt.

E3 2004 Trailer

The trailer shown at E3 2004 was released on November 1, 2004 as a .wmv file and later uploaded to YouTube. In trailer, the game is seemingly close to it's release with minor differences in it.

Differences

  • Eli is seen wearing a Yale shirt instead of a Harvard shirt:

In final release, the shirt was changed.

  • The rebels don't have their own models.
  • Instead of the Citadel, the outro shows the train station.
  • The firing sound of the Gravity Gun's is higher pitch, just like in the demo at E3 2003 and the September 26th, 2003 prototype.
  • The alignment of the health indicator is different when under 100 health.
  • The shotgun and crossbow are in the third weapon slot; they were moved to the fourth in the final game.
  • The player entity ragdolls upon death (and seems to use a Citizen as a placeholder), but in the final game, there is no ragdolling.
  • Scanners seem to still use their 2003 AI code in the trailer.
  • Striders seem to not have all animations of being hitted by RPG Rockets.
