Gerudo Training Ground

The lion door is in the background, if you watch closely. You can see it in the other screenshot which was also released during this time.

I got another shot of the gerudo training ground from magazine scans, I have to look in which one I found this.

Link fights a poe and the dungeon once featured a proper dungeon map - couldn't find this particular room layout in the final version. --ZeeRoX (talk) 16:21, 30 October 2014 (EDT)

Revisited Ranch

I got one shot of this series in a higher resolution.

The old icon for the sword from the "Early Sword on A" period - the whole layout of this area reminds me more of one the test rooms found in the debug rom. --ZeeRoX (talk) 16:36, 30 October 2014 (EDT)

Hyrule Castle Town and Temple of Time Exterior

In the screenshots of the Hyrule Castle Town Market you can see that the stairway leading to the Temple of Time Exterior points to another direction and lies more in the distance.

The wall structure in the lower right part of the following picture is a part of this old stairway.

In the picture of Hyrule Castle Town you can also see a slightly different Death Mountain in the background. --ZeeRoX (talk) 17:18, 30 October 2014 (EDT)

Interface - Dungeon Minimaps

The prerelease onscreen dungeon minimap gives you an overview of the whole floor layout, it worked like the final inventory dungeon map.

Without the dungeon map and compass item it shows you just the visited rooms colored blue and without the white borders.

With the dungeon map and compass item it shows you every room in the current floor with white colored borders and transparent background, already visited rooms are colored blue and the chests in every room are shown.

In the upper right corner it shows you the floor you’re being at the moment.

The dungeon minimap does not show you the whole room, instead it displays only the walk-able terrain.

The huge size this method needs to be properly displayed is probably the reason why they changed it later on, the bigger dungeons would have resulted in really big onscreen maps.

Comparing the deku tree maps with the dodongo's cavern maps, it looks like they used different scales for different dungeon sizes.

The prerelease dungeon minimaps just show Links current position and not the point where he entered the room.

In the following prerelease screenshot of the gerudo training ground you can see that Links current position is still indicated with the yellow arrow without any rooms shown, which looks like the devolopers hadn't finished the minimaps during this time.

Overlaying the pictures shows that, with this prerelease minimap layout, the room with the poe in gerudo’s training ground would have been the next room to the right side of the entrance room.
