This is a sub-page of Proto:Burnout 3: Takedown.
This prototype is documented on Hidden Palace.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion. Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article? Notes: There are many more differences between the Retail version. |
There are 2 review builds, North American and European both dated July 20, 2004. However the North American version reports being compiled July 18.
Differences
Before the Title Screen
- There is a loading screen before every intro FMV.
- A different loading screen when you launch the game.
Title Screen
Menu
- There are more loading screens.
To do: Add the unused/changed loading screens. |
- All options in the 'Extra' menu are locked. This includes the Need for Speed: Underground 2 Demo and all of the FMV's (Strangely, the tutorial videos can be played in the 'Training' menu)
Soundtrack
- Contains 6 removed songs:
- The Vines - Ride
- Time In Malta - Louder Than Bombs
- Modest Mouse - Float On
- Snapcase - Skeptic (later featured in Need for Speed: Underground 2)
- The Datsuns - Messin Around
- The Killers - Somebody Told Me
- There are overall 40 songs in this build, instead of 44 in Retail.
- No matter if you choose tracks to be sequential or random, Time In Malta - Louder Than Bombs will be the first track to play when you enter the menu.
- Unlike in the final version, The F'Ups - Lazy Generation has a album name. The censored word is 'Screw'.
