An early build of the PlayStation version of Frogger built on July 3rd, 1997, identified internally as "Build 2".

Notes

  • Antipiracy screen is gone, but the intro is still here.
  • New frontend is in beta, can see the whole thing.
  • Frogger's eye textures are broken.
  • Level select has black background. (Removed lilypads, and removed the E3 background)
  • Opening menu while demo is playing crashes
  • Crashes upon getting a game over.
  • Only supported race level is from retro zone.
  • Collision is glitchy.
  • In VOL1, the floor textures sometimes display frogger's score. Weird.
  • Levels such as SUB1 seem to have a significantly zoomed out camera, which may cause lag.
  • Slime Sliding looks very goofy and has too many slugs
  • CAV1 has significantly regressed. Perhaps due to a broken remap?

Levels

SUB1

  • Water texture is present, and fully opaque.

Bang Bang Barrel 1 (SWP1)

  • Goofy water texture is fully opague and doesn't mesh with.

Bang Bang Barrel 2 (SWP2)

  • Stationary oil barrels.

Slime Sliding (SWP4)

  • Goofy looking.
  • Too many slugs.
  • Too hard, and impossible to collect certain frogs.

Honey Bee Hollow (FOR1)

  • Beehives still crash.

CAV1

  • CAV1 has seemingly regressed to a mess of textures, but it resembles final.

CAV3

  • Eating the glow bug causes frogger to fall through the floor. It pulls frogger towards the bug.
