Debug Menu

Controls for the debug menu are as follows:

  • START - Starts on the selected level, although only ID 00 will ever load.
  • A - Adds a value next to the selected level.
  • X - Changes to a blue screen with various memory usage functions.
  • Y - Enables "EVENT", likely has something to do with the cutscenes.
  • D-Pad - Changes selected level.

Free Movement Mode

Pressing the Z button in-game enables free movement mode, just like Adventure 1 and Adventure 2; holding the Z button enables up/down movement, while pressing A disables it.

Load Screen Information

After the game is finished loading the stage, two pieces of text are printed at the bottom.

Pause Menu

Pausing the game will cause the text on the right to appear; the left text is just the current selection while the right text allows you to enable some debug functions.

  • A - Enables information seen on the Debug Menu.
  • B - Enables collision hitboxes.
  • X - Displays a bunch of information related to memory usage.
  • Y - Disables the HUD, likely for screenshot purposes.

Gameplay

Holding L+R will print your coordinates to the bottom right of the screen and enable the following functions with additional buttons as long as it is held.

  • D-Pad Up - Gives you an extra ring, hold for more.
  • D-Pad Down - Gives you an extra life, hold for more.
  • D-Pad Left - Levels everyone up by one, hold for more.
  • D-Pad Right - Charges your team blast to full.
