Prototype

Hey, i'm new here so I don't want to go around making major changes willynilly, but I wanted to point this out. In game development, a prototype is the initial proof of concept development that occurs. The intention is to proof the game concept, see if it's fun, figure out basic controls etc. Often the prototype is built in a few short days or weeks, and is ditched in favour of a proper framework when it comes to full development. The project will then go through several milestones, leading up to alpha, beta, and then gold master. My point is, this Heretic build is somewhere between Beta and Gold Master in terms of development, and is not a prototype as it has been labelled. I think beta would be the correct label, if not a release candidate for Gold Master based off the dating. Cheers! Chopper Dave (talk) 17:28, 16 November 2013 (EST)
