Super Black Bass Pocket was originally released in Japan with Super Game Boy support, then brought to the US as Super Black Bass by HOT-B, now a monochrome Game Boy game. SGB support and battery save were removed entirely—the latter replaced with a password system—presumably so that the game could be released on a smaller, cheaper cartridge (512KB vs. the 1024KB original).
Sound Test
While on the boat, pause the game, press B seven times, and then un-pause for the Sound Test, which also has a volume setting.
