Hidden Levels

This Imgur post, along with attempts to get laser rifle to levels other than 2nd, gives a bit of info on "Kiddies Playgound" (level 11) and "Test Level" (level 12): https://imgur.com/gallery/rWA6D

This GameFAQs link has some info on how these levels have been accessed: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/196578-alien-resurrection/68027950?page=4

Whoever's good with GameShark, please try accessing these levels and making a better footage of them for the sake of confirmation. --Sirius-R (talk) 04:47, 26 December 2018 (EST)

The PAL version

Kami here. I have tested the super special cheat code, and can confirm that it works on the PAL version of the game. Vid showing this is here: https://youtu.be/r1FHhPUsXxU I mean, it wouldn't make any sense if it DIDN'T work on PAL, as the game should be almost identical, bar the language select at the beginning.

You are welcome. Kami-kun (talk) 22:15, 1 January 2024 (UTC)

I would also add to this that it wouldn't make any sense to think it doesn't work with absolutely anything the game runs with. A game made for PS1, does a thing with PS1 through SOFTWARE, it can happen with anything that runs the game as the functionality is always there, thus it always works in theory. The practice might be a different story as you need to mangle with some things (I mean, find a way to switch a disc with a PS3 without letting the console know it like you do with PS1 (try maybe with the super slim as it has that sliding disc base cover) and I can 100% guarantee that it fricken works because that's how the SOFTWARE IS AND WORKS). Still, seeing a mention that it also works on PS2 is pretty redundant if one asks me, of course it works as it does everything this PS1 thing also does. Which is also the reason why emulators are also *somehow* being able to pull this thing off - they imitate this thing called Sony PlayStation and how the software (read: the game) uses it. But yes, knowing that it works with different builds of the game is fine though as they're technically 2 different builds, the hardware the actual game runs with does the rest with the software. Sometimes I feel people lack this thing called sense, but that may be just me. --PSXDRIVERPLAYER OUT. (talk) 22:36, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
