Anti-piracy ?

I think I have read somewhere that the controller stop working on the title screen if the game detects to be an illegal copy, and the only thing you can do is skip the intro video to go back to the title screen without being able to select new game or load game. I have no tool to check myself, so was that a glitch or is it a real anti piracy thing ? - Achoral (talk) 10:44, May 25th 2015 (GMT+1)

Demo differences

I've compiled a list of differences between the demo and the full game. http://pastebin.com/rCJL62Kr Anyone with better wiki editing skills can make a page on this (I'm inexperienced so I'll likely mess it up somehow). --Descension (talk) 00:31, 10 August 2015 (EDT)

Debug functions?

In the Japanese version, there are some codes that enable you to access several debug functions when you select "さいしょから" (New game). I don't check if the US version and the European version also have those functions or what some options in the functions do, so I hope anyone to check them. I'll create a note page and put those codes and some screenshots on. --Nelio (talk) 15:32, 12 October 2015 (GMT+9)

Shunsuke Saito (stage graphic designer for this game, current art director on the Gravity Rush games), tweeted out some (old?) pics of some environments and textures he worked on. Dunno if it would count as development material for a prerelease page or something. But it at least shows a unique perspective on a couple levels. Gold Effect

There's a video from 2014 that does some hacking in Ape Escape 1 and they found an effect that renders Spike gold and invisible to monkeys. May be worth digging into to find more details about. At about 3:40 into the video [2] --CommanderProton64 (talk) 07:16, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
