Translations (Help please)

Using my immense lack of knowledge about japanese writing and my greater knowledge of Google, I've been able to translate some of the text. Please confirm / translate.

Well, my knowledge of Japanese isn't perfect (and my wiki-editing skills far less), but I'll give it a shot:

ファイヤー: Actually, that's the way I tend to see it written in katakana, most of the time. EDICT lists it without the extending dash at the end... maybe it's just a matter of preference.

Top and fifth blocks: Unsure, offhand. Are those blocks at the top ones you can easily destroy with any simple attack (like releasing inhaled blocks)? As for the fifth block, what destroys it (assuming they can be destroyed...)?

Sixth block: kasa (かさ) - Umbrella.
Seventh block: denki (でんき) - Electricity.
Eighth block: Cutter (カッター) - ...well, Cutter.

Hmm... are there any level editors? Maybe someone could try placing that block in an actual level. Weren't there blocks that could only be destroyed using the Crash or maybe the Wheel abilities?

Broom block! That makes sense. The debug rooms in Kirby: NiD share a striking resemblance to Kirby's Dream Land 3's debug room. I'm almost certain the blocks are taken straight from it, or at least based off of it. I'm a great reader. --SGR 16:39, 19 July 2010 (EDT)

A little explanation for this mess

So I'm who left this mess of a page getting dust without bothering to actually work on it nor actually work in it until now when I actually can't... Sorry.
First of all I obviously used the japanese version. I don't know if any of it is in other ones.
Basically the most notable things are the debug rooms which have their own tileset. I used this to look them up, becouse I couldn't get the gameshark codes for it to work...
This tileset seems to be somewhat based on the KDL3's debug one. The blocks you see there matching the elemental abilities that would break them... Considering they even have the "broom" ability, their presence here is pretty interesting, even though most likely the only that remains of them are the graphics or the block types had been replaced by the ones of this game.
The ones in the fire lion room match some of these, having the "easy" ones being normally destroyable (think that room in 7-1), while "hammer" being the harder ones that are destroyed by the stronger abilities. There are also the bomb and what I'd more accuratelly call "bomb chain" blocks. (As in, you destroy the bomb block, it destroys these blocks in a chain reaction) There probably should be similar ones for the stakes and fuses.

The "random placeholder icon" is a graphic found in the middle of other GUI ones. Note that it's set apart of the rest of used icons, in a similar way to that one in Kirby's Adventure. The actual pallete used is also very different, with several shades for the black borders and stuff. The katakana transliteration it uses is pretty much wrong... looking at it I'd guess it's like writing "fiar" or something. --ReimuHakurei 23:05, 18 July 2010 (EDT)

Re: Fire - No, that's the way it's generally supposed to be written in katakana (though my one dictionary that DOES have an entry for the word (as it's a 'borrowed' word) doesn't use the extending dash at the end), and how I usually see it written everywhere. The katakana titles for the Fire Emblem games and (I think) the Fire Pro wrestling games are written that way, for example. --Aoi 23:38, 18 July 2010 (EDT)Aoi

It's just missing the dash at the end, that's all. :) ('ファイヤ' rather than 'ファイヤー')
What I should have said on that last reply, was that both apparently seem to be the 'proper' way to write 'fire' in katakana. (My ability to type faster than my mind works strikes again.) The dash at the end may just be a matter of choice (and for emphasis, if the writer prefers). Same sound in Music and Sound?

In the game's sound test, Music #26 (the jungle that plays when Kirby dies) and Sound #170 sound extremely similar; the only difference is the beginning notes in S#170. I think the game uses M#26, but I can't tell for sure. I'll keep looking into it, just want to make sure I don't put something that might be used on the page.--KirbyFan97 (talk) 11:03, 9 February 2015 (EST)

Ability 1A & 1B Pause Screen

Ability 1B (which has a graphic that I'm not seeing anywhere else in the game, but I'm not sure, so I can't say if it's really unused or not.
