What's the description of the God Stone? Let me translate it. -GlitterBerri 14/11/10

"Not even Pikachu."

Pikachu does appear before beating the game and it's owned by a Hiker inside a building in Castelia city. Lurkerella 16:33, 30 January 2012 (EST)

"SEQ_SE_DDEMO_01" is Used?

I've noticed that one of the sounds listed here, "SEQ_SE_DDEMO_01" is said to be unused. But I've heard this sound in the Hall of Fame sequence. Is this SEQ_SE_DDEMO_01 or just a sound similar to it? -The preceding unsigned comment was added by Acheo (talk • contribs)

Placeholder Kyurem Data

I remember hearing a rumour a long time ago saying that there was placeholder data for an alternate Kyurem forme in the game. Does anyone know if it's true? -- Zerker 13:51, 8 May 2013 (EDT)

Yep. Yamiidenryuu 18:15, 8 May 2013 (EDT)

Moving the Unused Graphics

So I just added a bunch of unused graphics, but it seems to be getting a tad long. Should it perhaps get moved to its own subpage? --Team Fail (talk) 22:18, 8 June 2014 (EDT)

Is that text actually unused?

If I recall correctly, the way the "dumb" AI works in these games is that it just picks a move to use at random, right? In which case it'd be possible (though very unlikely) for the AI to keep picking the non-damaging move up until it dies. In which case: while having a special piece of text for that event is weird as hell and definitely worth noting on this page, it's not actually, technically, unused. I mean, I'm just being a pedantic fuck, but still. (And I know G5 fixed a lot of the weird aspects of the mechanics in the earlier titles - so maybe the AI will stop selecting Leer before it dies here. Tell me if that's the case!) --Afti (talk) 23:15, 10 May 2015 (EDT)

The text has a typo and some grammatical errors, which leads me to believe it was never intended to be used (or didn't pass through testing). Either way, if it has an incredibly low chance of actually appearing, it's still fair game to be documented. --M64m (talk) 18:01, 11 May 2015 (EDT)

(Prerelease) Early Design Documents

GameInformer.com - An Exclusive Look At Pokémon's Early Design Documents (video) (Here's a direct video link for those who want it). Pokemon Black/White doesn't have a Prerelease page, so I thought maybe it should go here.

  • 1:31 Pokemon Black/White documents? Not sure of purpose. Dated February 20, 2009 and October 22, 2009
    • The lower page is uncovered at 3:24
  • 1:43 Message windows, black forest/white town, cross-language communication
  • 2:27 something with the stylus and buttons? Not sure if it's Black/White, but it's dated April 30, 2009
  • 2:47 A cut feature where your Pokemon would look back at you during battle
  • There is also concept art throughout the video, though it might all belong to other Pokemon games.

Video of Lock Capsule event

I think this might be worth including under the Lock Capsule section. I recently spent made a YouTube video showing the Lock Capsule event in its entirety, as well as instructions on how it can be opened. This appears to be the only recording of the event ever filmed, as far as I can tell. It took me approximately 150 hours to produce the video, so the quality is good, and I also thank TCRF specifically in the video, as it was y'all wiki that helped aid me in the video's production.

Here's a link to the YouTube video showing the Lock Capsule event being completed, I'll leave it up to the mods' judgement whether this belongs on the main page: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ignZ44-k3L8

Unused Kanji Font

Hey, under the Unused Graphics section for both Black and White, and B2W2, there's a section stating "a small kanji font was created for the game. It is technically used during battles if the player's name has kanji, but due to lack of kanji input ability, it goes unused." - does anyone happen to have a sheet of the kanji font? I'd like to take a look at exactly which and how many kanji were made for the font, but unfortunately have been unable to find further information or the related graphics in the game files (I'm most likely looking in the wrong place, so will keep looking!) --Takoto (talk) 18:03, 14 June 2021 (UTC)

Sprite Errors

I think a conscious decision was made by the artists to leave the top-right part of the back sprites uncluttered because that's where the health bar, animations, etc. go, which explains why, for example, Marowak holds his bone with the left hand when seen from behind. --Sandbox (talk) 15:05, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
