About the "unused" music

So most of the unused music for Gem Fighter is actually used in the game! In a rather obscure part of the game that is. Holding R2, Triangle and X as you pick Versus mode activates a Hidden Battle mode that basically endlessly loops matches with randomly chosen characters and stages, looping until you get bored and exit the game. You can customize what characters are randomly selected too. The point is this is where the Arranged Puzzle Fighter music gets used (except Zangief who gets his MvC1 theme, Ibuki who gets "Sharp Eyes" from New Generation and Tessa who gets her old theme "Magic Square" from Red Earth. So those are definitely used, just obscure.) Seems P1's theme usually plays tho.

Additionally, "Battle Select" plays on the Options menu and "Never Give Up" plays in the hidden Survival Arcade mode (done by pressing the same button code on the main menu, just while highlighting "Arcade" mode.) I think we can start doing some cleaning up. The original style Puzzle Fighter themes don't seem to be used tho along with MvC1 Chun theme and Akuma's "Killing Moon" theme. Might be worth investigating further. MightyKombat (talk) 23:36, 28 May 2024 (UTC)

EDIT: Somehow I missed the BGM setting in the pause menu of said hidden mode that has a "RANDOM" option. Though it seemed to pick P1's theme half the time. MightyKombat (talk) 23:46, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
