So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

The Jackbox Survey Scramble is Jackbox's first standalone title in what seems like forever, featuring various game modes based on their surveys that people have answered, with the answers being changed over time as the whole world plays.

Sub-Pages

Hmmm...
To do:
Add Steam Next Fest's demo page, contains some more unused modes. You can get it here.

Internal Names

BigSurvey is the internal name for the game, which is self-explanatory.

Legal Text Variations

Like their previous games, there is a setting on the title screen where the legal text will change depending on what you set below:

  • jackbox: Adds the Jackbox copyright text.
  • jackboxFmod: Adds the Jackbox copyright text with the FMOD Sound System text on the left.
  • jackboxFmodCriware: Adds the Jackbox copyright text with the FMOD sound system text on the left, and the CRIWARE text in the middle. This one is used in the Windows version.

The styling and font here almost resembles Party Pack 10 and The Jackbox Naughty Pack.

Hidden Developer Console

Hmmm...
To do:
Find out the list of all functions and what they do.

In jbg.config.jet of the game (not the loader), a hidden developer console can be enabled by adding "dev-console" and setting it to true. Additionally, adding "debug" and "logging" and setting them to true can make certain things be logged and printed in the console.

Here are a list of functions that you can do:

  • help: Shows a list of functions.

Unused Game Modes

Hmmm...
To do:
Screenshots of the modes.

The game has four interesting unfinished game modes when betaFormatsEnabled is set to true within jbg.config.jet. Jackbox has stated that more modes would be coming in a future update, though it's currently unclear if those plans include any of these.

Dares

Known as Better or Worse internally, this game takes on a variant of the list (like Hilo or Speed).

The game will first choose a random answer from the list, then a random player has to guess an item more popular than that. After, that same player will dare the next player whether their guess will be more popular or less popular. If the next player is correct, then they will receive points. Vice versa, if the next player is wrong, the previous player will earn points. This goes on for 2 times until it ends, where it will be asked to do 2 more (known as a "round"). If the majority selected no, the game will do one last guess for all the players, then ends with the top 10 answers on the list.

Dash

Known as Horse Race internally. This mode sadly doesn't work due to the game controller displaying a blank page when choosing. The mode's graphics are very unfinished, with placeholder assets being present all around.

In this mode, the game will display a list of answers on your controller and you will be tasked to guess which one is more popular. If you guess quick and correctly, your "horse" will move towards the finish line a little. The player will win once their "horse" reaches the finish line.

This game mode is similar to the final section of Trivia Murder Party 2, where you have to select the correct answers to proceed to the finish line and win.

Pegs

Same as Dash, the graphics for this mode are still very unfinished.

In this mode, you get points via a plinko-type of game where if you guess the more popular the answer, the bigger the ball. Also, some of the pegs can break at random as well (depending on how big the ball is). The mode can be ended using Tab, or clear balls using Space.

Scroll

Same as the two above, the graphics for this mode, well it's unfinished.

  • The mode starts by giving you a question and you must select a one-word answer from the list. After that, players will vote each other on which is the best answer. This goes on for two times.
  • On the second phase, it asks you a question again, but this time you select an infinite amount of one-word answers from the list to combine a funny answer to the aforementioned question, then players vote again for the best answer. This also goes on for two times, which then ends the mode.
