The Powerpuff Girls: Flipped Out! is the first game based on the polarizing reboot from 2016. Despite it being based off of said reboot, there's actually a lot here that older fans can enjoy and have fun with, such as the game's title screen having a rendition of the original cartoon's theme song.

The game has two modes; Sugar mode and Spice mode. The game switches between modes based on the position of your phone.

If phones had a diagonal orientation, there most definitely woulda been an Everything Nice mode.

Unused Text

There is a file named "Sample Text - Japanese" which contains text from the Japanese Wikipedia article for Dragon Warrior Monsters 2, numbers 0-9, the Latin alphabet both in lower and uppercase, as well as most common key symbols, presumably for font testing.

Debug Features

Connecting a keyboard into the phone allows you to use debug features when you are in a level.

Pressing "D" will make the selected girl dash to the right slightly.

Pressing "F" will put all three of the girls in the same exact pixel.

Pressing "G" will damage all the enemies on screen slightly.

Pressing "K" will kill all the enemies on screen.

Pressing "Esc" will pause the game.

Unused Graphics

TPGFO-PlaceHolderArrow.png

As the name implies, this is a placeholder for Professor Utonium's hand, seen during the tutorial.

This spritesheet is directly ripped from The Powerpuff Girls: Him and Seek. This probably means that Buttercup was going to have her tornado attack, like in the original series.

Unused Audio

Several voice clips for the girls dying. Interestingly, there are no files for Buttercup.

sfx_vo_blossom_die1.wav
Blossom: "I must have miscalculated..."

Blossom: "But I've still got work to do!"
sfx_vo_blossom_die3.wav
Blossom: "This wasn't part of the plan!"
sfx_vo_bubbles_die1.wav
Bubbles: "I...can't...even..."
sfx_vo_bubbles_die2.wav
Bubbles: "Well, that's dissapointing...uh..."
sfx_vo_bubbles_die3.wav
Bubbles: "It's ok, seabuddies! I still love you."

Miscellaneous

Filename Audio Description
sfx_combobowl_appear-old1.wav
This one is the same as the one used, but with lower quality. Probably used in an early build.
sfx_combobowl_break-old1.wav
Same thing as "sfx_combobowl_appear-old1.wav". It's exactly the same as the one used, with lower quality.

Princess Morbucks Leftovers

Filename Audio Subtitle
sfx_vo_dialogue_blossom_morbuckswat_kpr.wav
Blossom: "Morbucks! What are you doing?"
sfx_vo_dialogue_bubbles_heyitsprincess_kpr.wav
Bubbles: "Hey! It's Princess Morbucks!"
sfx_vo_dialogue_buttercup_ughnother.kpr.wav
Buttercup: "Ugh, not her..."

These voice clips seem to imply that Princess Morbucks was going to appear in the game at some point in development, but was scrapped.
