This cactus is UNDER CONSTRUCTION
This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
See, this is why server preservation is important.
This game's online features are no longer supported.
While this game's online features were once accessible, they are (as of August 25, 2022) no longer officially supported and online-exclusive features may be documented as now-unseen content.

Jump Force asks a question; "what if my favourite manga, but it's in real life and *I* was the main character?". Well the answer is an arena fighter with very peculiar looking adaptions of Manga Heroes and a nonsensical fanfictiony story to go along with it.

The game was delisted a little under 3 years of release on February 8, 2022. Likely from licence expirations, not being well received critically or commercially to continue sales and ranked online support.

Hmmm...
To do:
  • Inaccessible outfits
  • Unreleased outfits?
  • Whole Cake Island?
  • Datamined content
  • Unused interactions?
SOMETIMES I SEE A TEXT BOX AND I JUST CAN'T HELP MYSSDFGFFDHFGDJGGFSHGDFH
This page sucks.
If you could make it suck less, that would be awesome.
Specifically: Better documentation between versions if even possible.

Pre-release differences

Hmmm...
To do:
  • Is there more?

E3 2018 Gameplay Trailer

There are two differences in this trailer that did not make it into the final game. The first is the presence of a damage summary right next to the combo counter. This is not seen in the final game. The second is Freeza lacking a battle damaged model, as when he reaches low health he still uses his undamaged model with a uncut tail.

Scrapped Characters

A total of four characters were scrapped from the game during development. These are as follows:

  • Byakuya Kuchiki (Bleach)
  • Kenpachi Zaraki (Bleach)
  • Andromeda Shun (Saint Seiya)
  • Cygnus Hyoga (Saint Seiya)

They have character IDs in the code but no models.

Scrapped Character Interactions

Some of the base game's roster would've had interactions with these characters.

Oddities

As if everything in this game isn't already odd enough.

Death Note Page Texture

Held by the story NPC-only Light Yagami, the Death Note is only seen closed in-game. Opening the model's textures reveals writing and patterns on it's pages. This may hint Light might've been more involved with the game's story or at least *considered* for playability, as it was confirmed in an interview that Light would be too powerful to be made into a playable character by the game's director.
