This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
To do:
Lots; many of the comparisons should use the 1999 Nurnberger Spielwarenmesse press kit for best quality.

Sonic Adventure was given a ton of promotion prior to its release, and as a result there's a ton of material to analyze; for simplicities sake, all screenshots are compared to the final Japanese version, although the date of the publication doesn't mean it was from a build around that time.

Dark Era Build
The earliest known Dreamcast build from around April 1998, called so due to its far darker lighting than the final
Light Era Build
Far later than the dark era build, but still very incomplete; the majority of Sonic Adventure coverage used this build.
No "LEVEL" Build
Mostly complete at this point, named so due to the "LEVEL" element of the HUD no longer being included.
Japanese Manual
Made very close to the final Japanese release, still managing to show some changes..

Early Final

The camera angle is different when Tails is about to crash, showing a different sky texture.

Amy's story introduction is set at evening in the final, and the buildings in the background show very different designs and textures.

Speed Highway

Early Final

Unlike the final game, this area is filled with rings. The higher ring marks position (0,0,0) and is an issue that plagues the final game and Sonic Adventure 2.

Early Final

The object layout seen here is nearly identical to the AutoDemo's, except that Tikal's hints are missing (they were only there for gameplay demo purposes).

Early Final

There's a clock pit here that isn't in the final game, the building far behind Knuckles had its height extended, and the chairs were changed from red/blue to red/yellow.
