Hey there. I have my own bit of information on Gran Turismo's final version, most of which I've popped up onto the page. One of the things I didn't put up was something I found in VRAM that was loaded during races. A turbo gauge & a fuel gauge! Both had indicators drawn on to their graphics, though the final never used fuel gauges or turbo boosts.

I'd love to see if they existed in the early demos of Gran Turismo you've shown, as well as gather other general data for a more visually detailed page. Most of what I've found appears in the Garage, manufacturer selection menu in Arcade, and in the middle of a race. Again, things that are loaded in VRAM that aren't seen in gameplay. -- Fuzn 14:19, 25 March 2013 (EDT)

Is it possible to dig inside the hex file for Marvel Super Heroes' (1995 Capcom Arcade) debug menu to see some location test leftovers for Anita and the rest of the characters? Jiterdomer (talk) 01:31, 1 November 2014 (EDT)

Yes, I do have the Tanner's GT2 mod. Where can i send you that? SuperFrizzio (talk) 24:38, 30 Jenuary 2017 (EDT)

Gran Turismo 4 car prices

Good morning, are "unused car pricing" things worth to add? I saw a similar thing for GT1 Test Drive Disc Sal_89 (talk) 16:41, 5 April 2021 (GMT)

Not sure what you really mean - the price list on the GT1 Test Drive page is intended to track car price changes between GT1 builds. FMecha (talk) 14:44, 5 April 2021 (UTC)

In game data there are brand new prices for used cars. As the Fiat 500L costs around 18k Credits Didn't checked for prize cars, but I'm almost sure some have prices Sal_89 (talk) 19:05, 5 April 2021 (UCT)

From what I see it, I initially assumed it might've used for selling price calculation, although the 500L in the save I have doesn't seem to answer that (the 500L in my save is valued at Cr. 3,948 to sell, Cr. 15,792 to trade). FMecha (talk) 17:12, 5 April 2021 (UTC)

Mmm... Maybe with a 10km used 500L the price can be the one I saw. I think that sell price is still a quarter of the brand new price --Sal 89 (talk) 17:43, 5 April 2021 (UTC)

Gran Turismo 4 Used car prices explanation

In the last days I messed around to know how exactly the selling cars thing works. As soon as possible you buy any new car (I still need to test used cars), it will lose 15% of its value together the usual 3/4 of the value. In the case of the AC Cars 427 S/C '66 will be:

  • 423200*15÷100=63480. This is the 15% value loss
  • 423200-63480=359720. Car's price without that 15%
  • 359720÷4=89929. Base sell value

There are 10 selling values basing on mileage. I will explain the process always with the AC Cars 427 S/C '66. The selling values are as follow:

  • 0km -> 999.999km New car value
  • 1000km -> 2999.999km Price reduction 1
  • 3000km -> 4999.999km Price reduction 2
  • 5000km -> 9999.999km Price reduction 3
  • 10000km -> 14999.999km Price reduction 4
  • 15000km -> 24999.999km Price reduction 5
  • 25000km -> 39999.999km Price reduction 6
  • 40000km -> 59999.999km Price reduction 7
  • 60000km -> 99999.999km Price reduction 8
  • 100000km+ Price reduction 9

Then the selling values are:

  • 89929 Cr.
  • 84639 Cr.
  • 82523 Cr.
  • 81465 Cr.
  • 80407 Cr.
  • 79350 Cr.
  • 68769 Cr.
  • 52900 Cr.
  • 37029 Cr.
  • 10579 Cr.

Lastly, you can calculate the "new car value" of a car just reverting the calculation. Be careful. Also if you revert (multiplying by 4 and add an another 15%) the operation, some loss still occours. In this case will be 413678 Cr.
