Documenting One's Own Games
Hello, Satoshi64, and welcome to the wiki!
On your user page, you mention that you'd like to upload pages about your own games. It's always enjoyable when developers include hidden things in their titles for players to find, but it seems contrary to the spirit of hidden content and a little self-indulgent if people add their own material to TCRF right away.
I think it would be better to hint to fans that you have hidden something, and let them tear the game apart to find it, write a development process rundown, or release beta assets on your own site. (Good for player engagement and marketing, in addition to being educational about the design process!) Then, if players haven't found something for a few years, that would be a better time to reveal what you've hidden, or give more hints towards it, or add it to our wiki.
That being said, we look forward to the release of your games!
(Unrelated nitpicking note from a grammar nerd, but it should be "who" in your first sentence, rather than "whom"!)
Clarification from Satoshi64
I should have said this, but thought it would be funnier to say the clue about the Beta Key in the wall than to say what I really intend to do. (Though if everyone is still having a problem finding content I've hidden, well then I may post it on here) I really intend to show the Regional Differences on here more than anything as I can already tell you there are a few as well as release Prerelease info (if that's okay) as I will have better quality images than what most people get as I have the original (if it's not okay I will upload the better quality images to what users place on here prior). I understand the idea is to look for unused content without knowing what it is rather than hidden content you can find during a normal playthrough, and as I don't want to take the fun away from anybody on finding that stuff in the game I will not be posting that.
tl;dr I intend to tell user Prerelease Info (if that's okay) and Regional Differences in my games and let them find the rest, the Beta Key in the wall is a joke not something I'll talk about on the actual page of the game.
- Sounds fine to me! By the by, I'm not sure if this is intentional, but your Iwatabox refers to you as male. :) --GlitterBerri (talk) 20:06, 21 September 2016 (EDT)
- That's what I get for copy-pasting everything on here. Thanks for pointing that out.
- Thank you, I'm a noob, sorry about not doing that earlier. -- Satoshi64 (talk) 22:55, 21 September 2016 (EDT)
