Yo-kai Watch Blasters had a...rather complicated localization in comparison to the other entries, which resulted in some rather unusual changes.

General Differences

Song Medals

In the Japanese version of Moon Rabbit Crew, the player could request thirty different songs from Song Medals but due to a majority of them not being dubbed into other languages, the setlist received some changes;

• In the American/European/Australian versions, the Song Medals were completely changed to summoning tribe chants from the Yo-kai Watch Model U.
  • In the German version, the summoning chants were changed to that of the Yo-kai Watch Model Zero ones.
  • In the Spanish, French and Italian versions, the Wicked tribe summoning chant was changed to the Enma summoning chant. Erroneously in the Spanish version, the text on the top of the screen is mistakenly referred as "Los maléficos", the Spanish name of the Wicked tribe.
• In the Korean version, only ten of the Song Medal tunes were dubbed into Korean rather than twenty-nine. As of a result, the undubbed sound files were removed.

Credits

Though the ending theme remains unchanged, some of the graphics on credits were changed;

• All the previously mentioned changes to the B Variants, Whismellowman and the Blastersmobile are applied to international versions, despite the Korean versions using the original designs.
• Both the Japanese and Korean versions have onscreen lyrics, which were oddly removed despite the Yo-kai Watch 2 credits including them. It was likely so it would be easier to translate into other languages.
• A lot of text was removed or changed, likely to make it look less awkward in the localization process;
  • The "FUFU FU..." Onomatopoeia next to Mass Mutterer was removed the American, European and Australian versions.
  • In the Sproink image the text bubble saying "OH MY GOD!" was removed in the other international versions.
  • The Komasan image was changed from "MONGEEEEEEE" to "OH MY SWIRLS". Strangely, this was also the case in the Korean version despite his catchphrase being different.
• In the image depicting the Yo-kai Watch Blasters on the magazine cover, the text saying "DOOOM" was changed to "BAAAM" in the American, European and Australian versions. Their outfits were also changed to reflect the redesigns.
• In the image of Tattleterror fantasizing about Hungramps, the "HIMOJI" text was removed in the imagining.
• The image of the Blasters looking at Blizzie from the window was changed to reflect the redesign of the Blastersmobile.
• Strangely, the book Nate reads at the end of the credits image says "USA" despite the "country" itself being localized as BBQ in English releases.

Iron Oni Force Arcade Link

Exclusively to the Japanese version of Moon Rabbit Crew, players could link their data with Iron Oni Force arcade machine available in the basement. The feature would be discontinued in September 2018.

The feature was obviously removed from the international versions, but the model and text still exists, translated and unused.

Changes in the European/American/Australian Versions

B Variants

Yo-kai Watch Busters received a large amount of changes for localization pointing towards redesigning the characters and locales to distance similarities to the Ghostbusters franchise. Contrary to popular belief, this was not due to copyright but according to a localizer from a now-deleted blog, the redesigns were done because the source inspiration was "not interesting for the intended age group". A majority of these changes are not present in the Korean version, unless listed.

In the international versions, Jibanyan, Komasan and Usapyon B variants were redesigned to less resemble the Ghostbusters suits. Strangely, the original outfits can still be seen in the dubbed intros.

The models of these on the banner have been replaced by those seen in-game with lower quality textures and a lower polygon count.

Whismellowman

The English localization renames Whismellowman to "Whisped Cream", and his design was completely changed due to the original's likeness to the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man. Despite this, Whismellowman appeared in international versions of Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble.

Blastersmobile

The car shown in the cutscene when departing on missions got moderately tweaked due to the original being too similar to the Ecto-1.

Red Cat Corps and White Dog Squad Openings

The scene where Whismellowman appears was removed from both openings and replaced for two scenes of Sheen from the opening of Moon Rabbit Crew.

Strangely in both versions, the Japanese designs for Jibanyan B and Komasan B are used.

Moon Rabbit Crew Opening

A completely new opening was made for Moon Rabbit Crew called Shake Shake Ogon no Shake, but it didn't appear outside of the Japanese and Korean versions. It could be due to the increased prescience of the changed content in the international versions or music licensing issues.

The artwork was modified to reflect the changes made to Whismellowman and the Bustersmobile. The logo also changed "Busters" to "Blasters".

The artwork on the top screen was changed to remove Jibanyan B and Komasan B, while the artwork on the bottom screen was changed to their new designs.

Whisped Cream Boss Theme

All the vocals in the song were removed due to sounding too similar to the iconic "Ghostbusters" theme. Oddly enough, the song itself is separated into five different files for each language despite using the international version, suggesting that they were going to be dubbed.

Hinozall Boss Theme

This is a change carried over from Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters, The original song "Gerappo Dance Train" was replaced by the remix of "Yo-kai Watch ft. Swampy Marsh" from the aforementioned game. The same international theme plays in the Hinozall Awoken Boss fight in place of Shake Shake Ogon no Shake.
