Hello Kitty World is a reskinned port of the Game Boy game Balloon Kid. This version remained a Japan exclusive, while the original Game Boy game wasn't released in Japan at all.

Unused Music

To do: Rip them from the game via the use of either an emulator or external software.

The game includes some unused music, all of which are Balloon Kid music reworked for the Famicom.

• The factory/stage 8 music from Balloon Kid. However, in this version there is a short recurring song element from Balloon Kid at the beginning of the music. This was not present in the original. The final Hello Kitty World instead uses the more cheerful stage 1 music for stage 8.
• The intro sequence from the beginning of Balloon Kid for when Jim is floating away.
• The Balloon Trip (Balloon Fight series mode) end jingle.
• The Balloon Trip Giant Bubble jingle for stopping the time.

Sound Test

After completing the game, you will be greeted with a "the end" screen. If you do the button combination A + B + Start + Select fast enough and correctly, you will unlock a hidden non-visual sound test. Using the Up and Down D-Pad controls, you can select which in-game track you would like to play (including unused tracks). Pressing A plays the selected track.
