Expansion Pack
While the pre-release versions up to April 1998 have their unit tables tightly packed, later releases have them spliced with several placeholders, indicating work on an expansion pack.
Unused Graphics
There are a few unused graphics in the retail version of the game, most notably a Series 9 detention center and a bunny rabbit.
Series 9 Detention Center
There are no missions where this building is used, unlike its Survivors counterpart. Evolved equivalent building is totally absent in the game, unless it is the Altar of the Scourge (the only building with no equivalents). If it is, these buildings may have been intended to be used like it: Sacrificing units for a special bonus unit. The unused sound for a Series 9 "hybrid generated" seems to confirm this.
Critter
Unused bunny critter, presumably KKND2 was supposed to have neutral animals.
Smiley
An interesting smiley sprite can be found in sprite sheet along with smoke, fire or debris particles.
Scourge Demon death
It appears Scourge Demon has also its own death animation which is unused. In the retail game, when the demon dies, it instantly disappears. This might actually be a game bug.
