This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.

This is a sub-page of Prerelease:Pizza Tower/Concept Sketches.

Pizzaboy

PTpizzaboysketch.png

A joke sketch, showing that Pizza Boy was a protagonist in a fictional video game called Pizza Tower Boy, while Peppino was the antagonist.

The Ancestor

PTancestorsketch.png

The Ancestor was Peppino's ancestor (it's in the name, after all) who defeated Pizzamancer. He would tell the player about the Pizza Tower(s) throughout the journey, from back when each level was going to be their own tower.

Pizzasonas

PTconceptsona.png

A simple pixel art concept sketch to explain what Pizzasonas (the characters that appear in the secrets in the final game) are.

Pillar John

PTpillarsketch.png

Pillar John in concept art. Weirdly enough, he's around during Pizza Time, but this may have been drawn earlier into the game's development, when John simply acted as a Toppin toll.

Peppino

Peppino leveled up

PTlevel2sketch.png PTlevel3sketch.png

An unknown sketch of a leveled up Peppino showing both levels 2 and 3; Level 2 Peppino is depicted with spiky hair, and wearing white pants, an apron and a Cooking Chef hat, while Level 3 Peppino has a bigger mustache, a Top Chef hat, a white buttoned shirt with long sleeves and gloves.

Casual Peppino

PTcasualpeppinosketch.png PTcasualpeppinosketch2.png

A sketch of Peppino in casual clothes, sitting with Noise without his costume, and playing pool with Anton.

Peppino gets stabbed

PTmariostabsketch.png

Mario stabbing Peppino in a sketch.

Scrapped Transformations

PTpeppinoscrappedtransfos.png PTpeppinomorescrappedtransfos.png

Some drawings of scrapped transformations, with Peppino rolling on a tomato, gliding while holding a pizza box, and being injured with a broken leg. The fireass transformation is also here, making it the only transformation in the sketch to have made it in the final game. The muscle transformation, however, was only seen in the credits room in builds such as Demo 2. The flattened transformation is also seen here, only having made a proper appearance in the Rework build.

Poses

PTpeppinoposes.png

Peppino in a bunch of poses, such as crushing a cheeseslime, holding a mushroom Toppin, and a doing a super jump. The superjump pose later became the base art for Bloodsauce Dungeon's Eruption Man Chef Task icon.

Evil Peppino

Calm down Peppino, we're your friends!

Peppino being involved in an accident where he accidentally chops up his right hand, and had to replace it with a pizza cutter… Thus, the birth of Evil Peppino!

Peppino's Expressions

PTpeppinofacesketches.png

Three drawings of Peppino, being tired, nervous, and smirking.

Facepound

PTpeppinofacepoundsketch.png

Peppino doing a facepound. Ouch, looks painful too! These drawings would later serve as the basis for the in-game animations, as first seen in the Halloween demo.

Outfits

PTpeppinooutfitsketches.png

Peppino wearing different outfits, being a tuxedo, a football helmet, a military helmet, and being in his shorts with no top on, wearing a mask too. All of these could possibly be him before his pizzeria opened, as the word "Backstory" in the top lefthand corner implies.

Powerup Jumps

PTpeppinopowerbouncesketch.png

Peppino preforming a jump with both the chainsaw and shotgun.

It's a Trap!

"It's-a right behind-a me, isn't it?"

Peppino pulling a lever that triggers cheese (or lava) to spew out from behind him.

Knight Peppino

PTknightpeppinosketch.png

Knight Peppino with some smaller sketches; The top one depicting what would become his down-thrust move, and the bottom one showing a scrapped sprinting lunge. Was likely reworked into the slide mechanic.

Revolvers and Barrels

PTrevolverbarrelsketch.png

Peppino in a barrel, holding his revolver, bumping his head on a block, and sliding down a slope.

Slope Fail

PTslopefailsketch.png

Peppino slipping on a slope, unable to get up it. The top two sketches seem to be the basis for the unused spr_player_upslopes animation.

Skateboard Tricks

PTpeppinoskateboardtrick.png What did I do to get flipped off like this?

A sketch of Peppino doing tricks on a skateboard, and performing poses while airborne.

The Noise

Pogo Moveset Concept Art

PT ConceptPogoNoise1.png PT ConceptPogoNoise2.png PT ConceptPogoNoise3.png

A few sketches of the Noise's pogo moveset. The first sketch shows how Pogo Noise built up mach speed. The second sketch shows him dropping bombs on enemies whilst pogoing over them, which was ultimately not included in his Pogo Moveset (It would eventually find its way into his Pogo move during his boss fight). It also shows him kicking a bomb, a move that was implemented into the game, scrapped after only a couple builds, and then came back in The Noise update during boss fights. The third sketch shows The Noise throwing a bomb upward, and then using his pogo stick to bounce off of it, thus gaining further vertical height.

Business Noise

PTbusinessnoise.png

A sketch of Noise in a business outfit, standing next to Annie from Antonblast.

Super Early Noise

PTsuperearlynoisesketch.png

As the title says, this is a super early version of Noise, that super highly resembles the Noid. The design even uses Mr. Orange's color palette.

Wallace Noise

We forwoag the crackers, Gromit!

Wallace from Wallace and Gromit, redrawn to look like the Noise.

Mr. Incognito

PTmrincognitosketch.jpg

A sketch of Mr. Incognito, who would later be revealed as Noisette in a scrapped comic.

Miscellanious Characters

Dougie Jones

PTdougiesketch.png

Introduced in the ??? Comics, Dougie Jones is a Pizzard who would assist the Noise and work alongside Kentucky Kenny. Nothing is changed to differentiate between him and a regular Pizzard, but he is still presented as his own character.

Mr. Orange

PTmrorangesketch.png

Mr. Orange is quite the confusing character. He was either Noise's twin brother or his rival. It was never really decided which one it was. Mr. Orange was originally going to be a replacement boss when playing as The Noise in Co-op Mode, but was ultimately replaced by The Doise. According to McPig, he has an Australian accent and was seprated at birth.

BAD Status

PTpizzaladysketch.png

Sketches of transformations that were initially going to hinder the player and limit their viabilities; In particular, the Pizza Lady (bottom-right) is a humanoid pizza that was going to be a enemy that would give Peppino the scrapped Flustered transformation, making him uncontrollable. She was later scrapped from development. Also visible is a bowling ball hitting Peppino on the head, the Cheese transformation, and the old Pizzabox transformation.

Dr. Bad Breakfast

PTbadbreakfastsketch.png

Dr. Bad Breakfast was part of the Snick lore that McPig made. He was essentially the Dr. Eggman of the other Sonic parody characters that McPig had made, and as such was just a throwaway joke like all the others, never making it into the game.
