This cactus is UNDER CONSTRUCTION
This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
Hmmm...
To do:
  • Document the unfinished version of the "Back to The Future Level Kit and "The Journey Home", there is a video of the unfinished version of the Back to The Future level on this channel. Find more please.
  • There's a few unused items in this build that don't exist in the final game.

LittleBigPlanet 3 Revision 667975 is a post-launch development build used during the creation of the then-upcoming "The Journey Home" and "Back to the Future" Level Kits, seemingly based on version 1.05. Dated April 13th, 2015, this build predates The Journey Home by 2 months and 27 days, while predating the Back to the Future Level Kit's release by 6 months and 8 days.

General Differences

  • The Journey Home Premium Level Kit theme is referred to as "The Epilogue Pack".

  • The Hoverboard is unfinished. On top of glitchy physics that allow Sackboy to perpetually jump up any 90-degree wall, it uses Hook Hat sound effects when grinding on rails, and it often has difficulty activating Bounce Pads.

Level Differences

Back to the Future Level Kit

Hmmm...
To do:
Comparison screenshots between this build and the final level.

The level that comes with the Back to the Future Level Kit is very unfinished, missing a lot of art and audio that's present in the final version. Beyond the obvious lack of art, quite a few bits of gameplay are different compared to the final level.

  • A Bounce Pad jump just before the first Bendy Rail was replaced with a long stretch of ground with Prize Bubbles suspended in the air in the final level.
  • The ramp with five Prize Bubbles to the left of the first doorway is not present.
  • The entrances to the 2015 and 1885 sections are in different places in the Hub.
  • The Bendy Rails located where the gas pumps would be in the 1955 section do not emit electrical currents.
  • Instead of opening crates of plutonium, the player collects clocks at the end of each section.
  • A futuristic cop car near the start of the 2015 section that raises when the player grabs its sponge was replaced by a pair of grabbable spinning wheels in the final level.
    • A similar looking cop car was used towards the end of the 2015 section in the final version.
  • An optional alcove with Prize Bubbles can be accessed by jumping over the Bounce Pads in the foreground towards the end of the 2015 section. This was removed from the final level.
  • One of the two grabbable wheels near the end of the 2015 section was removed, and the platform, a circular cutout was made near the remaining wheel to prevent players from getting crushed, and the platform to the right of it was lowered.
  • The doorway that the player emerges from in the 1885 section is located right next to the Race Gate.
  • None of the rolling train cars have Bounce Pads on them, and there are no Bendy Rails before the next half pipe, making the uppermost Prize Bubbles much harder to collect.
  • Immediately after the train cars, there is a ramp in front of a slide that leads to the next checkpoint. The ramp and slide were replaced with a Bendy Rail in the final level.
  • The 1885 section is slightly shorter than in the final level, missing the rotating fire hazards at the end of the section.
  • The level's ending cutscene has not been implemented, and there is no other means of ending the level.

Graphical Differences

  • The Springinator and Hoverboard powerups use placeholder graphics that were replaced by the time their respective DLC packs were released.
    • The pedestal models for the Hook Hat and Boost Boots are used as placeholders for the Springinator and the Hoverboard respectively, though equipping either powerup reveals their actual models.
    • The Springinator Sensor uses the Impact Sensor's screen graphic and Popit icon as placeholders.
    • If captured as a Sackpocket Item, the Hoverboard uses the Hero Cape's Popit icon as a placeholder.

The Journey Home Adventure Badge

The Journey Home has a different, more stylised graphic for its Adventure badge.

Eve Silva Paragorica still uses her older colour scheme in this build, and her sticker in The Journey Home reflects this.
