The Three Grouchketeers is somewhat unique (alongside Elmo Through the Looking-Glass and Grover's Travels) in that it's presented as part of the show's then-recurring "Monsterpiece Theater" (a parody of PBS' Masterpiece Theatre), hosted by Cookie Monster as "Alistair Cookie" (a parody of original Theatre host Alistair Cooke, who had left in 1992).
