Level Select
At the options menu, when "LEVEL" option is highlighted, normally when you press A on controller 1 the level number increase by 3 up to 6 then back to 0 which corresponds to "EASY", "NORMAL" and "HARD" modes accordingly.
However, if you on controller 2, hold Down, then press A, the level number will increase by 1 up to 9 max.
Also on controller 2, hold Down and press B to increase the sub-level number by 1 up to 5 max.
And finally, hold Down on controller 2 and press Up on controller 1 (or hold Up on controller 2 and press Down on controller 1) to increase level number by 10 up to 30 and back to 0 which corresponds to a game loop index.
Any time you press a correct button combination you'll hear a sound which means cheat is working.
Note, due to specific of level select handling, after using these cheats do not use the regular method of level selecting (do not press A on controller 1) or it will increase level by 3 without range check and may went into the incorrect values.

Majohn Block has two lines of mahjong tiles around the logo, which are missing from the other versions. The large mahjong tiles for the logo lack the green at the top in Poke Block, which has a bit of highlighting on the bottom instead. The former adds a credit to Super Mega, who published that version of the game, and moves the options down to make room for the small mahjong tiles. The part of the logo with the large tiles was also moved up by 8 pixels.
Stakk'm (released exclusively on the Maxi 15 multicart in the US and Australia) appears to be based on Majohn Block, using the same large mahjong tile designs. The menu options are moved up as a result of the larger copyright text and smaller logo. The colors for the background, Idea-Tek logo cursor and copyright text were changed.
AV Dragon Mahjang uses a completely different title screen to all of the other versions, lacking any sort of animation while adding some music.

Majohn Block features Chinese headings above all of the text strings, which were removed in all other versions of the game. That version and Poke Block both feature the typo "Scc next", which was corrected in the other versions. The line spacing is different across the leftmost three versions.
Gameplay
Majohn Block and AV Dragon Mahjang use mahjong tiles during gameplay, while the other versions substitute these for tiles with Arabic numerals on them.
Music
AV Dragon Mahjang features different music to all of the other versions. Notably, the main gameplay theme sounds very similar to the one from Miss Peach World, a localization of Menace Beach.
