Stardew Valley is a farmer simulation game with RPG elements developed by Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone. Stardew Valley was both a critical and commercial success, selling over 10 million copies across all platforms by 2020.

Lit-Up Festival, Obscured Wizard

In every festival map, the wizard can be spotted and has unique dialogue when/if the player approaches them. However, he's sometimes found out of bounds and can only be accessed via cheats.

Festival Dialogue
Egg Festival
Hmm... And what about raw lizard
egg sprinkled with blackened
marrow?
Flower Dance
You shouldn't be up here.
Spirit's Eve
The affairs of mundane folk
matter little to me, but the
elementals like a chance to see
you up close.
It was for them that I
created this silly maze.
Festival of Ice
Sneaking off to visit my weird
tower? You're odd for a
mundane.

Unused Maps

Removed Extended Intro

StardewValley BusPeople.png

Present inside the game is the interior of the bus that drops the player off. The player would have been able to move around and interact with people and objects on the bus. This also would have introduced a character named Dobson as the main villain of the game, who was intended to be an antagonistic, ruthless JojaMart employee. The map remains intact though, and there are multiple strings for the characters and objects programmed in.

Summit

Summit in spring

Could be accessed from the inaccessible part of the railway map area. However, its tileset has since been overwritten. This part of the area has been remade and re-added in the 1.5 update.

Unobtainable Items

Several unused items exist, complete with unique descriptions and graphics.

Bus Ticket

Stardew Valley-Bus Ticket.png

A bus ticket that the player would have held onto during the extended intro. Its graphic was replaced with the magnifying glass in Version 1.3.

Unused Skill-Based Titles

In the game, the highest level the player can reach is Level 25. As a result of this, the following titles go unseen during regular gameplay:

Minimum Level Title
26 Agriculturist
28 Cropmaster
30 Farm King

This is because of the way the game calculates this title, which includes a luck level not implemented in the game:

(farmingLevel + fishingLevel + foragingLevel + combatLevel + miningLevel + luckLevel) / 2

Unused Graphics

Characters

Dick

In the game's files, Content\Characters\Dick.xnb contains a spritesheet, which is identical to Willy's spritesheet. ConcernedApe has confirmed in a tweet that at one point before the game was released, Willy was named "Dick".

Dana

Content\Characters\Dana.xnb contains Penny's pre-release spritesheet. Via the above tweet we know Penny was at one point named "Dana".

Others

Stardew Valley-Unused Food GFX.png

A variety of unused food icons, including several meat-related items. At one point during development it was possible to have farm animals butchered for meat, but this feature was removed during beta as ConcernedApe felt it clashed too much with the overall game's mood. The steak icon would later be repurposed in the game's 1.5 update as the "Bug Steak" item.

/money Presumably give specified amounts of gold. "Rosebud" is a money cheat in The Sims and The Sims 4.
/showmethemoney
/freegold

Using these during regular gameplay will show this message:

ConcernedApe: Nice try...

Stardew Valley-Panda Hat.png

Users from Tencent's TGP service could get a panda hat and has a unique description, "一顶萌萌的熊猫帽子,这是Eric给TGP玩家的礼物" (A cute panda hat. This is Eric's gift to TGP players)

International users need to hack the game to access it, where the description simply reads "A lovely panda hat".
