Unused Animations?

For the unused animations, are these animation files that are never called by the game and loading screens, or are these animations that only show up in loading screens? Because if it is the latter case, wouldn't it be possible that they were put in just for the loading screens to use? --Peardian 18:24, 15 September 2012 (EDT)

To my knowledge, all of the "unused" animations are indeed used on the loading screens, and therefore should be removed from the article. --AttackedbyGlitch 20:54, 29 June 2013 (EDT)

"DUMMY" songs and sound effects

I found this sound files in the game, and all of them have "DUMMY" in the name. I can't say if they are unused or used because I have not finished the game at all. Are they used in the game?

I found them in Partition 1, location Sound\stream (using Dolphin's internal game explorer).

NOTE: They were temporarily uploaded via SoundCloud. I'll upload them to TCRF if they are unused.

BGM_DUMMY_tikarakurabe.brstm (3:31 seconds)

The "tikarakurabe" one is very similar to "attraction", just a bit slower and different instrumentation. What does "tikarakurabe" means? I'm very curious.

Also I found this voice sound effects here.
I think they are from a Pokémon but I don't know who is it.

"bgm_dummy" is definitely a remix of the main series Pokémon Center theme. That's unused. Not sure what "BGM_DUMMY_attraction" is supposed to be, but that's unused as well. "bgm_dummy_tikarakura" is also unused, and according to Google Translate, "tikarakura" means "contest of strength". My guess is alternate music for "Blaziken's Boulder Bash", because that's the only thing that makes sense. As for the voice clips, I'm not too familiar with Japanese Pokémon names or cries. So I have no help there. Definitely unused though. Pgj1997 (talk) 16:36, 14 January 2016 (EST)
Oh, alright. So, should I upload the music here? --PonyPikmin1998 (talk) 19:11, 30 January 2016 (EST)
Yes Pgj1997 (talk) 16:25, 1 February 2016 (EST)
You know, since I'm getting impatient (sorry), I'll download them, and do the work for you. Pgj1997 (talk) 12:11, 7 February 2016 (EST)
Oh, sorry. I was very busy with some stuff. But thank you so much for uploading them. I never thought that those files would be unused, to be honest. I just found them when I was decompiling the game. Again, thanks. --PonyPikmin1998 (talk) 23:20, 9 February 2016 (EST)
It's worth mentioning that the bgm_dummy song (the Pokémon Centre remix) is Pokémon Holiday, taken directly from the anime. --RandomTBush (talk) 00:45, 10 February 2016 (EST)
Yeah, I noted it. Thanks for the clarification! --PonyPikmin1998 (talk) 20:31, 11 February 2016 (EST)

More dummy sound effects (PAL version)

First and foremost, the dummy songs and the unknown Pokémon cries were taken from the NTSC version of the game. However, they are not present in the PAL version of the game.

Well, I found some sound effects, some of them could be used to fill space in the disc:

Filename: k_dummy.brstm and Y_Dummy.brstm

It's just a little beep sound. Interestingly, there is a bunch of this one in the game's files. Using Dolphin's filesystem:

  • Go to "Partition 0/Sound/stream" and you'll find these two files mentioned above.
  • Go to "Partition 0/Sound" to find Delhi.brsar. Extract it and open it with BrawlBox.

In Delhi.brsar, you can find them:

  • in "Dummy/TITLE". A bunch of them. The filemames are "09". continuing until "49".
  • in "ALWAYS/BIG" as SAVE.
  • in "DUMMY" (in upper case). There are a LOT of them, about more than 300 of them. All the files are named "copyXX" (where XX is a number)
  • in "K/DUMMY". Same as above, a bunch of them and the filename is "copyXX".
  • in every single "<null>" folder. A large bunch of these ones. The filename may vary.

Another one is:

Filename: normally, 05 and 06.

It's... pretty strange. I replayed it in reverse and it seems to say "dummy". They are found in the same Delhi.brsar file, under VOICE/XXX (where XXX is a number between 001 to 250). Normally, the files are named "05" and "06".

An interesting thing about this one is that, in the same VOICE folder, the subfolders 202 to 250 have a sub-subfolder named "Dummy", containing this last dummy voice in every single file.

Unused content, I think. What do you think? --PonyPikmin1998 (talk) 04:57, 18 June 2016 (EDT)
