Regional stuff

Do we really need to create pages for games where the only content is regional publisher and title screen differences? None of this is unused or particularly noteworthy. --BMF54123 01:30, 18 May 2013 (EDT)

There's not regional stuff I plan to add. Like this for example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HfgQJtRtJQ -Chpexo 01:33, 18 May 2013 (EDT)
Uh, can you verify that the spell is legitimately unused, and not just a glitch? We don't cover glitches caused by accessing out-of-bounds data. --BMF54123 01:35, 18 May 2013 (EDT)
Okay, now I found something interesting that is unarguable not junk data. An unused game over tune. Using the code D008FCC1 001E 8008FCC1 001D will replace the game over music with a different song. -Chpexo 02:00, 18 May 2013 (EDT)
I remember someone making an exit modifier code for this game back in the ZSO/ZC days and seem to remember that there were some unused maps. Not sure if I can still dig those up somewhere, tho... --Xdaniel 02:51, 18 May 2013 (EDT)
I remember a YouTube video showing someone messing with exit modifiers for this game, and accessing parts of the first town's castle you can't normally access. There was a functional chest or two in some of these areas as well. I just checked through my playlists of beta/unused content and didn't see it... I'm sure I added it, so it might have been removed by the uploader. I'd love to see some more info on unused stuff in this game though--I really liked it when I was younger :p --Celice 04:20, 18 May 2013 (EDT)
I found a YouTube video responding to the video you were describing that questions the legitimacy of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNqexg_7ouA . The original uploader was Rukifellth2792 but I couldn't find the video on his channel. My assumption is that he got complaints that the trick was a fake and removed it.--Chpexo 18:37, 27 June 2013 (EDT)

Sequel?

Looking over some pages, and Quest RPG: Brian's Journey caught my eye. Here, take a look at these two shots:

Quest 64 Quest RPG
Quest 64 U title screen.png Gbcquestbj-title.png

Am I right in thinking the latter is at the very least related story-wise to the former (if not an attempted port)? Obviously, it's the same company behind it, but... -WarioBarker 03:50, 24 May 2013 (EDT)

I didn't play much of it, but I thought the GBC game was more like an adaptation of the N64 game, or perhaps even a reimagining of it.
If you're asking whether to link the two for the wiki, I'd say that's a good idea, even if it's not a sequel. If you're more asking about whether it is a sequel, I'm not sure I'd call it one, especially as there was an actual sequel being worked on, with a logo shown featuring a woman and I think the main Quest 64 hero, before it was finally cancelled.--Celice 04:06, 24 May 2013 (EDT)

Unused Music

I found a YouTube playlist that contains some unused music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjqCFCtDwCg&list=PLUlHX64efYpTNgIHZfIRdoMm8MbAQBAnb . The user states he got the rips from http://forums.ffshrine.org/f70/quest-64-ost-holy-magic-century-49409/ --Chpexo 12:36, 27 June 2013 (EDT)

Unused music 08

That's actually used in the game as the theme of Limelin Castle. N. Onymous 23:13, 1 July 2013 (EDT)

Japanese save

I took a few minutes to finish the Japanese version. Here's a memory pack save right before the final boss in case someone want's to use it to document the ending changes: https://www.sendspace.com/file/gzhnj8 -ReyVGM (talk) 23:56, 19 February 2015 (EST)

Regarding the 'Blue Cave and Glencoe Forest oddity'

That boulder can indeed be moved, and requires the player to defeat Nepty and obtain the Water Jewel to do so. It is indeed pointless to even use it unless you forgot a spirit in Blue Cave and need to take a shortcut back there, however. Also, the walk through walls code for the JP version is 8007A9F0 0000. I will edit the page and add it in parentheses next to the US code. --M1CR0H4CK3R (talk) 17:46, 4 November 2018 (EST)
