Quick Question
Does unlockable stuff count as a regional difference? Because in the Japanese version of UYA has several unlockable skins which aren't avaliable in the PAL or NTSC versions. -- Zerker 09:59, 24 December 2012 (EST)
.bin files
In my closet, I found a Holiday Demo disc from 2004 that contained an UYA demo. I made the disc into an ISO and used a tool to extract the .WAD file in the demo. The .WAD file then unpacked into 10 gigabytes of .bin files. Either there is something unique about the bin files, or they're encrypted. I've tried to open them with several methods including making a cue file, but they just wont budge. Someone should try to look into this.
- I don't think anybody reverse-engineered R&C wads yet. Is it the Marcadia demo? I remember finding audio for some deleted cutscenes (one was a really early version of the Ranger's voice) I'm currently trying to trigger in-game, but I wanted to organize things a little bit before creating a prototype page. If it's a different demo, then please check it out using PSound and if you'd like, to tell me what's the date on the files. I'm a R&C nut.--Capelino (talk) 13:26, 29 July 2015 (EDT)
I think the WAD files used for Spyro the Dragon are also the same... format? (I don't know what word to use. The WAD extractor I used was originally designed for the Spyro games, and just so happens to work with with R&C.) As for what demo it is, I'll look at it when I get home. FUN FACT: One of the demos in the disc that I mentioned had a glitch that would literally erase everything on your memory card
Edit: Son of a bitch, it IS the Marcadia demo! http://youtu.be/mCfzbfPPQao
It looks like I'm gonna have to scavenge the Internet in search of demos... --Shoopdahoop (talk) 16:54, 29 July 2015 (EDT)
