"Unused" for Modding

You have to keep in mind that a lot of the "unused" things are merely extras thrown in for the sake of modding. 犬夜叉(Inuyasha) 20:53, 31 August 2012 (EDT)

Yes, but they're not used in the main, un-modded game. --Neini 20:57, 31 August 2012 (EDT)

Copies of GFZROCK

the Wall textures DUMMY and 0FAKE are copies of GFZROCK. You Forgot The Minor Details! (talk) 12:19, 24 May 2014 (EDT)

Demos

There is about 4 demos of SRB2 that aren't pre-demos or post-demos. There are also quite a bit of Final Demos. Also Revisional Differences between 2.0 and 2.1.

also this thing

Hmmm...
To do:
Prototypes, revisional differences, and more.

And also, a placeholder thingy for the redirection thingy

An important note

I'm going to make the prototype articles, I've been playing since Late Final Demo. --Professor64 (talk) 14:29, 23 December 2016 (EST)

> Inuyasha deleted page Proto:Sonic Robo Blast 2 (We're not doing this. The relevant info can remain on the SRB2 wiki where it belongs. Older versions are not 'prototypes'.)
Let it stay deleted. 犬夜叉(Inuyasha) 00:48, 24 December 2016 (EST)

Should there be a Prerelease/seperate section for this page detailing the previous changes of SRB2, and some graphics/sections being unused by the next update?

Evilflower Zone and Blue Mountain Zone Act 2

Apparently in srb2.srb there's a track named "O_MAPEFM" which is a pitch-reversed version of early GFZ1, I'll try to upload the OGG (dumped straight from 2.1.21's version of that file), but you'd have to give me time until tomorrow, in the meantime does anyone know if a zone with this track ever existed in the vanilla game? And, is BMZ2 worth talking about if it was removed from 2.1 and all we have from it is textures that (some of them at least) are still used somewhere else, and music that wasn't even used in the 2.0 version of the zone? I'd have to check to be sure.

Oh and other inexistent zones, Dark City and Grand Eggship (formerly Doom Ship) - still have textures, is it worth putting them here? CharmyBee99 (talk) 17:22, 13 December 2018 (EST)

2.2 Update

The page needs a drastic rework to accommodate for 2.2, to summarize, half of the game was redone from scratch content-wise. Examples of changes involve Red Crawlas and Crawla Commanders no longer being unused, Greenflower getting a major overhaul (along with THZ1), Deep Sea, Castle Eggman, Arid Canyon (now with two additional acts) and Red Volcano being remade from scratch... The entire soundtrack also got a remaster, removing a lot of unused tracks and leaving in others. There's a lot. Out of stuff to mention on the page examples are Arid Canyon 2's leftover cave and minecart testing area, the 8th multiplayer special stage... Remasters of Mine Maze 1 and old Red Volcano 2 music tracks... The theme of Doomship Zone (Grand Eggship Zone) is now used for Orbital Hangar (the old ERZ1 theme was removed)... The list goes on. FrostedGeulleisia (talk) 17:46, 19 December 2019 (EST)

Is the note on the GFZ1 house even unlocked by getting 200 emblems?

It's appearing on my save file, despite the fact I only have 142 emblems. --HalfHalf (talk) 04:54, 2 February 2023 (UTC)

Can we even document this game?

There are 2 issues with this game being on here, the most obvious being, it's a fangame, now technically, fan games CAN and sometimes HAVE been approved, ok but that second one, this game, just straight up, isn't done yet. It's seemingly close but not quite. 2 broken rules, wow... The preceding unsigned comment was added by Logix (talk • contribs)

Games in active development are most likely allowed to be documented, just look at FNF. TCRF's guidelines on what can be documented mainly prevent fictional and undumped games, although we may need to double check if I'm missing something, I'm still not entirely convinced this game is certainly allowed on TCRF.--HalfHalf (talk) 09:18, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
Yes well, there a rules that prohibit fangames, unless given permission by a moderator, so I'll go ask a moderator for you and see if its allowed. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Logix (talk • contribs)

The very first version of this article was created on 19:25, 23 January 2022‎‎.
The rule about "no fan games" was added to the rules and guidelines page (20:51, 30 January 2013).
Now, I would say that someone should go and ask one of the admins to make this page "official", as it were… but, considering that Hawk, who is one of the admins, has edited the page numerous times, I think we can kind of assume this page is fine to exist… yes?
But seriously, maybe Hawk should make this official. Just for the sake of argument. (;
