Hidden Textures in Furniture Texture Sheets

TraumaTime "Incision Precision" Surgical Training Station
The bump texture map for the surgical training station (careersurgialdummy0_lifo) has hidden textures of organs in a more realistic red color. The finalized texture has them in blue, likely to avoid looking unintentionally grotesque.
SimLine Wall Phone Sticky Note
There is a hidden sticky note in the texture for the wall phone, which doesn't show up in the final. It can be spotted in a prerelease image.

Computer Screens
There are hidden screen textures for the Little Sister WD15 and Moneywell Computer models, showing that of a logo for the computer and a sepia landscape respectively. They do not appear, as it is covered by the texture for the startup (computerscreen-boot20_lifo).

Gentrific "Way of the Wood" Mantel Fireplace
In the texture for this fireplace in the base game, a picture frame with a female Sim resembling Bella Goth can be found. It appears on all customization options for this object, but does not appear in-game.

An image of a fireplace with the photo of a sim on it can be seen in the portfolio of Stephen Kody, the Lead Object Artist during the development of The Sims 2.
In one of the preset storytelling images, the original design of the fireplace can be seen with the photo frame in the Goth house, implying that it was meant to appear there, but a completely different fireplace occupies the place in the final.

Furniture Customization Set Oddities
Scrapped Third Cafeteria Set Customization Option?
Out of all the Cafeteria-related furniture options introduced in University, the Myne Cafeteria Table is the only one to feature a third "dark wood" option, whereas others only has two color options. Whether it was planned for other related items is unknown.
Missing "The Grease Stands Alone" Island Bar Surface Customization?
Introduced in Nightlife, this bar has no customization options for changing the top surface, yet the connecting "Sometimes A Man Is An Island" Counter Island, by Fat City Counters does have recolors that seamlessly blend in well. A fanmade fix can be downloaded here.
Scrapped Fifth Racer Set Customization Option?
The racer set introduced in expansions starting with Glamour Life Stuff and Seasons has four colors, but the "Speedway" Table Lamp by Zoom Arts and Flags of Victory has a fifth variation compared to other sets, which consists of a green and checkered-flag pattern.
Removed additional "Ultra Sporty Boxing Lamp" Color Options?
In Buy Mode, the Ultra Sporty Boxing Lamp by Al Ike Sprodz oddly has additional color options enabled for the object despite only one being available. It may have been possible that additional recolors were planned, but no leftovers can be found for it in the files.
Miscellaneous Oddities
Bed Texture Oddity
One of the bedding textures that comes with the base game below is called bedbedding-template_lifo. Though it may seem like it's a normal design, it's actually a template used for designing beds that was likely left in by accident... but it funnily enough fits well as a regular bedding design.

Custom Painting Textures
Three custom paintings textures that come with the Seasons expansion all appear to have been taken from concept art. At least one of the source images is known.

Odd Easel Texture
The RAKET Table Easel included with IKEA Home Stuff uses four graphics of Sim-made paintings as the easel, except for one. It is of an anthropomorphic Grilled Cheese that can be seen if the Sim with a Grilled Cheese Aspiration uses the "Paint Grilled Cheese" interaction on the easel.
Separated Missionaire Dining Table Textures
The textures for the Missionaire Dining Table introduced in Open For Business are separated into two files (tablediningmission-frame-ltwood0_lifo and tablediningmission-ltwood0_lifo) rather than as one.

Alternate Pear ShinyStation XTR Texture
Included in Teen Style Stuff and Apartment Life, the Pear ShinyStation XTR has five different color schemes with a glow effect fitting a specific theme. One of them is an unused earlier texture with a slightly different glow effect. The unused effect is even in Mr. Humble's Computer that is included in FreeTime.

Oddities in the Round and Round Train Set
The furniture introduced in FreeTime has some oddities;
- The roads use the scrapped European crosswalk textures.
- There are unused models for SimCity 4 car textures.
