Melee File Extraction

Hey there, hate to be a bother but I'm wondering how you were able to extract the "coming soon" graphics from Super Smash Bros. Melee? What sort of tools did you use? Cracking find, in any case! Crashandcortex (talk) 10:46, 8 May 2016 (EDT)

Super-Mario-Sunshine-Sandbombbaseshit.png

Hi. Is the "floor" in this model render part of the model or something created by the renderer? I can't get it to show up in J3DView, bmdview2 or J3DModelViewer. Did you use a different tool? --Hiccup (talk) 11:16, 31 July 2017 (EDT)

I used BMDview2. --Pasta937 (talk) 15:53, 31 July 2017 (EDT)

It was just a stupid mistake on my part, nevermind :P --Hiccup (talk) 06:54, 1 August 2017 (EDT)

Question for you

Hey, I was wondering how are you taking your screenshots in game for CTR and CNK? They look native and nice, wondering because I use emulators.

Screenshots are taken with F9 on pSX (psxfin) and F8 for PCSX2. As for pSX, you will need Irfanview to resize the images about 512 x 384. --Pasta937 (talk) 18:13, 29 March 2018 (EDT)

Super Mario Sunshine Manual Scans

Thanks for posting a better quality version of the picture with Yoshi in Pianta Village from the SMS manual! Did you get your scan from a personal copy, or did you find a better scan online somewhere? I'm intending to upload more manual screenshots, but I'm willing to wait if it means having higher quality images from the get-go. Thanks! --Kimimaru (talk) 17:55, 18 April 2018 (EDT)

I got it from www.gamesdatabase.org --Pasta937 (talk) 20:09, 18 April 2018 (EDT)

Great; thanks a bunch! --Kimimaru (talk) 16:42, 19 April 2018 (EDT)

Extracting files from NAOMI Monkey Ball?

Hello there! Been trying to get any sort of discernable filesystem or files out of BALL.BIN from Monkey Ball, but haven't got any luck out of it. If you know how to extract the game files from the arcade image, I would be very thankful!

Might not able to get it from the BALL.BIN but there is a way to extract images. Just get 3D Ripper DX and use an older version of Demul with the gpuDXLegacy plugin, then you can capture the images in DDS format. SomeBoredHuman might be able to help you with the files. --Pasta937 (talk) 10:17, 23 May 2019 (EDT)

The older version of pico vs bear

Pico VS Bear Design Changes.png

Hey, I wonder where you got the very old version of pico vs bear? Since everywhere I tried to look for the oldest version the most I see is the second or third version.

Unfortunately I've tried searching the original as well since it was taken down not long after the company sent him a legal note. The only surviving image is from Know Your Meme. https://knowyourmeme.com/photos/1178907-bear-in-the-big-blue-house --Pasta937 (talk) 16:34, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

Adobe Flash Gifs

Hey, I was wondering how you can rip animations from Adobe Flash games and turn them into gifs, as I'd like to know how to do the same. For the record, I use JPEX in order to decompile and rip assets from flash games. --Cutesycookie (talk) 14:18, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

The "sprites" folder is where most of the animations can be played depending if it has a playback feature. Then you extract it with the gif format. Make sure to remove the background color under "others" so it would come out with a transparent background. --Pasta937 (talk) 23:47, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
