I'm Curious About Something

Are pinball machines with DMD/LED displays/roms allowed on here? I ask this because the South Park pinball machine has a prototype rom (aka the one with the infamous Carpet Race mode) that has quite a few differences from the final. --SpongeBat1 (talk) 18:10, 21 November 2013 (EST)

Is it a game? Yes
Has it (the prototype) been dumped? Yes
Should you ask questions about the wiki on your own talk page instead of an admin's? No, not really
If you can get screenshots with PinMAME, then go ahead. -Einstein95 (talk) 18:18, 21 November 2013 (EST)
Okay. I just wasn't sure where to ask that question. Also, how do I rip sounds from pinball roms? While I have yet to get to the infamous carpet racing mode, I have heard a lot of voice clips not in the final version.

Could you enter service mode (coin 2) and record all the audio as a wav via command line or something? I'm not sure about pinball machines, but this can be done in other arcade games. -Einstein95 (talk) 19:23, 21 November 2013 (EST)
I've accessed the service mode, and I found a sound test, but there are only four sounds. Also, would the service menu count as a debug mode? --SpongeBat1 (talk) 20:10, 21 November 2013 (EST)
No, because it was a readily-accessible menu frequently used by arcade operators. --BMF54123 (talk) 20:14, 21 November 2013 (EST)
Alright, now how am I supposed to rip the sounds? --SpongeBat1 (talk) 20:18, 21 November 2013 (EST)
How did you take those screenshots? (and in PinMAME, how did you press start as 1 isn't working for me for some reason) -Einstein95 (talk) 22:50, 21 November 2013 (EST)
I just Prnt-Scrn and select the relevant images. I am not very screenshot-savvy. --SpongeBat1 (talk) 18:17, 22 November 2013 (EST)

South Park Pinball sounds

I'm not sure if this is really relevant to anything, but in the above messages I heard that there's a Sound Test in the South Park pinball machine. What sounds are featured in the Sound Test? I've been dying to acquire the different BGM used in the pin for personal listening for a long time. Superjustinbros (talk)

I don't know, I haven't checked. --SpongeBat1 (talk) 14:20, 24 December 2014 (EST)

Oh, how do you do that? --SpongeBat1 (talk) 23:54, 21 April 2016 (EDT)
