This PS2 port of Dead or Alive 2 added new characters and stages, along with myriad tweaks and alterations to the combat. The Japanese release (Typically stylised as DOA2 Hard*Core) was the last DOA game to appear on a Sony console for another 12 years!
Regional Differences
The Japanese version, which was released after the US one, made a number of additional changes and tweaks - a Turbo Speed option was added, a few more costumes and cutscenes were implemented, and an extra credits scene was added after beating Story Mode with all characters, thanking a number of Japanese gamers and websites.
