Die Hard on the Nintendo 64 was an ambitious title, but alas never saw the light of day. Three ROMs were dumped in 2017, each being very similar except for the levels within. The game is still rather unfinished.
It would eventually see release as Die Hard: Vendetta.
While there aren't any cutscenes beside the "Yippie-kay-yeah" one, descriptions for all of the cutscenes exist inside all of the prototypes. For instance, Cart 1 has these at 0x1DAEE00. These have been rearranged to keep the scenes in internal order.
CUTSCENE 1 Sewer Chase Cut Scene After the trouble in Hollywood you have followed some of the rioters down into the LA sewers. Before entering them you enlist the help of Ernie, an old sewer maintenance worker who has agreed to guide you through the maze of tunnels. This cut scene comprises of some banter between McClane and Ernie before you set off. Ernie...You know those punks have been down this bit when you see that mess. I tell you, this country ain't worth a dime any more.....Anyways yous ready? If you see a steam vent, see if you can turn it off as that stuff will take the skin off your smooth butt in seconds. CUTSCENE 2 Tuna Factory Cut Scene The discovery of the Tuna Packaging after the Turkey Shoot leads McClaine to the Ceasar Tuna Processing Plant. He has no solid evidence that there is anything wrong here but his detective instincts make him feel that he should check it out This cut scene will show John arriving in his car and getting out. There will be security guards watching over the car park guiding him in. CUTSCENE 3 Crate Assault Cut Scene Al has been captured by the Terrorists so as to stop McClane's investigation into their activities. John doesn't want to alert the terrorists to his presence so he decides to enter the compound through the drains. His main concern is to rescue his buddy Al - ALIVE!!!! McClane also knows that he must be getting closer to unmasking who is behind all this. His snooping seems to have rattled someones cage. This cut scene will show Al being tortured in a room and then show various Terrorists patrolling the compound. CUTSCENE 4 HAL BRUNO CUT SCENE In this cut scene we finally see Captain Hal Bruno unmasked as the bent policeman in the LAPD. It will comprise of John and Hal trading insults, Hal reminding John what a bum cop he is while John promises to bring Hal down. Hal correctly reminds McClane though that, without him, he has nothing!!!!! Hal then tries to make his escape. CUTSCENE 5 FAILURE CUT SCENE You must capture Hal Bruno alive as he is your only link to Methsonian. This failure will be shown in a cut scene with Mcclane curseing himself over Hals body. "Dumb John, real Dumb.” CUTSCENE 6 LEVEL COMPLETE CUT SCENE This will show the police reinforcements arriving with a defeated Hal Bruno being taken into custody. It end with some discusion between John and Al as to where all this is leading. (actually, back to the police HQ) CUTSCENE 7 FAILURE CUT SCENE After All that Al has done for you, You let your buddy die. What kind of cop are you? CUTSCENE 8 GENERATOR CUT SCENE At this point Ernie will explain to John that to get past a barricade the Thugs have set up the will need to get his explosives kit. This is found in his workshop at the bottom of the generator. He can turn the generator off for a short while but not long enough for him to get down and backup. But a young man like John should have no problem. CUTSCENE 9 FAILURE CUT SCENE John what are you doing? You've got to keep Ernie alive!!! € CUTSCENE 10 Prison Intro Cut Scene After all the damage that John incured downtown he finds himself suspended and in prison. Someone in a high place wants to stop his investigation. This cut scene shows John waiting in his cell when some there is some comotion outside. Prison guards back up past his cell bars firing while retreating. There is a riot going on..... CUTSCENE 11 FAILURE CUT SCENE If you plan to escape from the prison and get reinstated you must save the Prison Governor. "Dumb John, real Dumb." CUTSCENE 12 HELICOPTER RESCUE CUT SCENE At this there will be a cut scene showing the helicopter taking off and flying over the roof of the burning prison. John then recieves a message over the radio that the prison governor is still in the prison. The rioters have said they plan to kill him. CUTSCENE 13 PRISON COMPLETION CUT SCENE This will show the LAPD arriving to do a clean up operation on the prison. A very grateful governor assures John that he will use his considerable political influences to get him reinstated. It finishes with John vowing to bring down whoever is behind all this. CUTSCENE 14 € Hospital Intro Cut Scene John was told in the prison that the terrorist were planning to hit the Mount Giles Hospital. This level begins with Mclane being dropped off in the basement of the hospital by Al. Because this tip was unconfirmed this operation is not sanctioned by the LAPD. Al tells John that he must get into the hospital without alerting security and he will radio him when he is inside. According to the tip off they have 10 minuets before the whole thing kicks off. CUTSCENE 15 Poison Cut Scene Katya has thrown a sealed beaker containing a yellow substance, it breaks at McClane's feet in a cloud of fizzing gas, which envelops our hero. McClane sinks to his knees coughing. Katya "You should have stuck to homicide Sergeant McClane" (sexy foreign accent) McClane's poisoner makes her escape, John recovers and picks up the Broken Beaker and studies the label, player gets control back. CUTSCENE 16 Radio Cut Scene 1 This Cut Scene shows John calling Al who made his way to the security office where he is watching the terrorist movements. John tells Al about the poison and is told there is an antidote in the pathology lab. However he can't get there as the terrorist have shut down most of the security system, e.g. pass card readers and elevators. There are however 3 override switches which john could trigger to gain access. CUTSCENE 17 Radio Cut Scene 2 Once John sees the smoke comming out of the air vents he calls Al again. In this cutscene Al tells him the terrorists have put the incinerator output into the air con input, they are filling the Hospital with poisonous smoke. He should avoid it all costs. John has to get down to the Basement and stop it. CUTSCENE 18 Al Captured Cut scene Al calls John again as the security room is coming under attack. Scene of Al, Security Guards and Doctor in Security Control Room. Apostle and Katya break the door down, the occupants try and surrender, but are all shot down in cold blood except Al, who is pistol whipped unconscious. Two Terrorists run and in and make to pick him up. CUTSCENE 19 Observatory Cut Scene..... Mission Failure. You must keep the security guard alive to unlock the planetarium for you. Only then can you confront Methsonian. CUTSCENE 20 Cut Scene John calls Al with the phone AL - Where are you John? I can't get a fix on your location. I'm in your area, find a way to signal me so I can get you out... KINGPINSTARTUP
