The first game in the original Ultimate Ninja series of 2.5d style fighters, going from the start of the manga up to the end of the Konoha Invasion Arc.

And speaking of, did you know this is one of the few Naruto games where the term "Konoha" is spoken in the English dub?

Regional Differences

In the Japanese version, when Naruto and Sasuke use specific Ultimate Techniques, they enter character-specific transformation mods (Nine-Tails Mode for Naruto and Cursed Seal Mode for Sasuke respectively). Both of these enhance their stats but lock them out of their Ultimate Techniques. Overseas release made these modes into separate characters (Nine-Tailed Naruto and Curse Marked Sasuke) that are able to use the Ultimate Techniques, wher edoing so activates said powerup mode.
