...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
And you were just a scroll away from being fired too...
Oh dear, I do believe I have the vapors.

Hmmm...
To do:

Everything.

  • There are a ton of placeholder models, ranging from models leftover from Persona 4, to a model of an adult Nanako, to even a new model of Yukari. (Add to the characters sub-page)
  • Compare with the unused early models in the final game for comparison.
  • Slight differences in models, like the protagonist's face shape. (Add to the characters sub-page)
  • Some models of the guards in Kamoshida's Palace use early designs with different masks, using a texture from P4G.

Unused Persona

Susano-o, in his Soul Hackers design, can be found in the persona folder. He was likely removed from the game to prevent confusion with Yusuke's Kamu Susano-o. All data relating to him except for his model and animations is empty. It's worth noting that his model is among the ultimate personas, potentially meaning he was supposed to be the ultimate persona of the Fool arcana like he was in Persona 3. This same model, besides being slightly edited, did eventually get used in Persona 3 Reload.

Early Enemies

Early Overworld Mementos Shadow

Among the overworld models for Shadows is this model of a Shadow that's dressed as a train conductor, which has animations of it walking around, idling and being hit like all the other overworld Shadows, though it's animation for being hit has it flying backwards, likely because Morgana Car has a quick speed boost rather than a run in this version of the game. This Shadow is found among 2 Mementos Shadows, a Rare Shadow and the Reaper, while the overworld Shadow used in the Mementos in final game (which is also present in this build) is the last Shadow in the folder with an ID of 900.

Early Shadow Kamoshida Boss

The enemy models have an earlier unused version of "Asmodeus" Kamoshida. This one uses ID 203, and the final one uses ID 201. The earliest one has a completely different crown design, looking more generic. Kamoshida's hair is brown instead of black, so it's possible at some point his real world design had brown hair. His tongue is also darker than the final's, and his body also has some slight shading differences. The most odd thing about this one is, the Cognitive Ann in the wine glass is...completely naked. The final one is present here too, but it's still slightly different from the final, since it still has the naked Ann. The earliest one has all the animations the final one has, besides some being slightly unfinished. The textures for Cognitive Ann are still left over in the final game as part of Kamoshida's main texture.

Duplicates

Catherine DLC Outfits

A few of the Catherine DLC outfits weren't finished at this time. They're normally located in, for example, c0002_162_00.GMD, which is Ryuji's, so at this point they used a duplicate of their Persona 2 outfit as a placeholder. This is only the case for Joker, Yusuke, and Akechi. It's also the case for Makoto, but her's has a slightly early shadow texture.
