The parallax background for Madotsuki's balcony in the real world is determined by sending you to one of two maps. This was changed to a single map that randomly determines the background in v0.10.
There is no game console next to the TV; the NASU minigame does not exist in this version.
In both the real world and dream world, the TV cannot be turned on. There are no events scripted in it.
If you ride Madotsuki's desk chair in the dream world and try to put it back, the game will ask if you want to stop riding it.
This message notably uses three lines of text, which would fit into the 3-line message window that is unused in later versions.
v0.06
The game console is now in front of Madotsuki's TV in the real world, and NASU can be played.
The TV can now be turned on in both the real world and dream world.
The image displayed on the TV in the dream world is different from the one used in v0.10.
v0.06
v0.07 onward
The KALIMBA TV Channel event cannot be activated, and does not exist yet.
The desk chair in the dream world no longer asks if you want to stop riding.
v0.07
The TV in the dream world has a 1/8 chance of being turned on when going to sleep now, regardless of whether it was left on or off before. This is the only version with this feature.
The TV no longer turns itself on as it did in the previous version.
The KALIMBA TV channel event is now viewable.
The Nexus
v0.04
The background is a bit more bluish.
Since there are only 20 effects in v0.04, the effect eggs in the center are arranged a bit differently.
The purple door with the red circle (near the top-right) leads to the Lamp World in this build, as the Number World does not yet exist.
v0.06
The background was made darker.
All of the effects are now present, and take their final positions.
v0.08
The door that led to the Lamp World in previous versions now leads to the newly-added Number World.
v0.04
v0.06 onward
Forest World
v0.04
The Face Carpet Plaza gate does not exist yet; In its place is another patch of trees.
Below said patch of trees is a purple gate leading to Hell.
v0.07
The patch of trees was removed, and the gate to the Face Carpet Plaza was added.
The gate to Hell was removed.
v0.04/v0.06
v0.07 onward
Block World
v0.04
The Severed Head effect's presence on this map is bizarre, considering how the map that contains it in v0.10 is accessible in v0.04.
The Mafurako NPC is not present. She is found on the Checkered Tile Path instead.
The Severed Head effect can be found on the lower end of the map.
A purple gate can be found that takes you to the Neon Tile Path.
There are less block structures.
Toriningen's Bed
The gate that leads to the White Desert in v0.10 is a generic purple gate in this version. This gate leads to a room with an event dubbed the Toriningen's Bed by fans.
The event has Madotsuki walk to the right to enter a bed. This triggers switch 138 to have an unavoidable Toriningen chase after you. Getting caught by it places you in the black void of Footprint Path B.
Eyeball World's music is used on this map in v0.04. In RPG Maker, this map is under Eyeball World's folder, and is set to use the same music as its parent map, explaining the music choice in this version.
v0.06
The Toriningen's Bed room now uses the regular Block World music, but at half speed.
v0.07
The gate leading to the Toriningen's Bed event has been replaced with the black & white gate to the White Desert. The event has been removed.
Mafurako has been moved here, but has some strange properties compared to later versions.
When teleporting Madotsuki, she does not come with you. This can potentially leave you trapped and forced to wake up.
Transforming into a snowman has no effect on whether she comes with you.
She is completely immune to the Traffic Light effect. This also means that she still has no graphics for her visible form.
The purple gate leading to the Neon Tile Path was removed.
The Severed Head effect is no longer obtained here, and was moved to its final location. Consequently, Mural World is now the only area containing multiple effects (Blonde and Long Hair), discounting the two paths in Dense Woods B (as one can't be accessed from the other).
v0.08
Extra block structures were added to the top-right and bottom sections of the map.
The warp to the Sewers already exists, but uses a generic pink gate.
The Poop Hair effect is found here, as the Underground World does not exist yet.
There are less murals around the map.
v0.07
The pink gate has been replaced with a manhole.
The purple gate that led to Dense Woods A has been removed.
v0.10
The NPC that gives the Poop Hair effect has been moved to the newly-added Underground World.
More murals were added.
v0.04/v0.06

The warp to the Mall already exists, but takes on the appearance of a generic pink gate.
v0.07
The purple gate that led to Neon Tile Path has been removed.
The pink gate has been replaced with an elevator.
v0.10
The path to the bicycle was given a rounded design, and an assortment of tiles resembling a face was added to the top-right.
v0.04/v0.06
v0.07-v0.09
v0.10
Eyeball World
v0.04
In place of the Severed Blue Head NPC is a purple gate, which leads to Mini Hell.
There are less body parts strewn about the map. The jumping legs are not present in this build.
The eyeballs on the right side of the map are arranged differently.
The pairs of eyes surrounded by arms near the center of the map are arranged differently.
The two eyes near the pair of lips in the southeastern part of the map shift up and down. In subsequent versions, they stay still and only move this way as a reaction to the Knife effect being equipped.
v0.06
The two eyes near the pair of lips no longer move naturally.
v0.07
The purple gate was replaced with the Severed Blue Head NPC, which takes you to Footprint Path A.
v0.08
More body parts were added, including the jumping legs.
The eyes surrounded by arms near the center of the map have been rearranged, matching their current formation.
v0.10
The eyeballs on the right side of the map were rearranged.
v0.04/v0.06
v0.07
v0.08/v0.09
v0.10
Candle World
v0.04
In place of the striped pyramid is a purple gate leading to Hell.
Two pairs of candles near the center of the map are mirrored horizontally to how they appear in v0.10.
The candle directly north of the gate/pyramid is slightly taller.
The Walking Candles are missing.
The Dwarf that provides the Midget effect only makes a high pitched sound as it runs.
A random handful of creatures are programmed to walk near and follow you. This is the only version this is present.
This is the first version where the mask-looking creatures don't come towards Madotsuki when using the Cat Effect. Only in v0.10 was it changed to react like the other neon creatures.
v0.06
The neon monkeys were added.
The starting positions of the neon creatures have been rearranged.
All neon creatures now walk their own random paths instead of following Madotsuki.
v0.07
The pink gate has been removed.
The purple gate has been replaced with pyramids that lead to the Neon Tile Path.
v0.08
Unique neon creatures, dubbed the Neon Statues by fans, have been added.
v0.10
The map has been given a drastic overhaul, most notably with the addition of walls that divide the map into rectangular rooms.
With the overhaul, three different types of flashing tiles found around the world's previous iteration were removed. Two similar-looking tiles were kept in the CharSet they were found in previously, albeit unused, while the third type was removed from the game entirely.
Most of the old neon creatures are present, along with two new types of creatures.
The Neon Statues were removed.
The neon monkeys were rearranged and more sculptures similar to them were added.
The warp to the Neon Tile Path still exists, but now takes on the form of a doorway in one of the walls.
The mask-looking neon creatures now react normally to the Cat Effect.
v0.04
v0.06
v0.07
v0.08/v0.09
v0.10
Lamp World and Number World
Number World was not implemented until v0.08. Prior to this, its door in the Nexus led to an earlier iteration of Lamp World.
v0.04
The Lamp World's layout is completely different to the one featured in v0.10:
The map is a different size.
The music used is a track that is absent from v0.10. This song was also used in Face Carpet Plaza.
The arrangement of lamps is far more dense.
The short lamp that leads to the Checkered Tile Path is present, but in a different location.
The most notable location is a bedroom-like area with unique wall and window graphics. This location is very similar to one of the rooms that would be included in the Number World and was likely repurposed for it.
There is also a similar but small and enclosed area to the right, which functions as a Toriningen trap area.
Sleeping in one of the beds will dim the lights. Note that these beds cannot take you to the Staircase of Hands, as it did not exist yet.
Stabbing the Toriningen inside the bed room and getting caught by it will send you to the Guillotine Room.
The large bed area contains a room with a candle and a bloodstain. The candle can be stabbed to put out the flame but does not have any other properties.
v0.07
The pink and purple gates were removed.
You can now enter the Guillotine Room by stepping on the blood splatter.
A blood arrow was added to the candle room, likely to indicate the previously mentioned warp.
To make room for the blood arrow, the window that was previously centered in the candle room was changed to two windows on each side.
v0.08
The Number World was added.
In the bedroom area of the Number World, sleeping in one of the beds will still dim the lights, as it did in the classic Lamp World.
The Lamp World was completely overhauled, having most of its features removed and being mostly relegated to an extension of the Number World.
The music track is now the same as the one used in the Number World. The previous song has been removed.
The map is a different size.
The lamps are arranged much more scarcely.
The short lamp that leads to the Checkered Tile Path still exists but in a different location.
