About this prototype...
Admins, like the Sonic 1 prototype, you might want to add some rules such as the fake anti-piracy stuff when it comes with prototypes and unreleased games like this. -- User:Zaycool97
Leftover Error Messages
There's a huuuuuge chunk of leftover error messages and such from what seems to be Rare's development environment from roughly 0x9C2A0-0x9C5C2 in the unmodified ROM. Had issues trying to format it for the page, probably worth checking out by someone more experienced than me. Koutana (talk) 16:32, 21 February 2021 (UTC)

Levitate Code
Added a levitate code and some other small info to my user page. Maybe it might help when getting stuck somewhere. --Punk7890 (talk) 11:28, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
Sabre
Sabre seems to still be hiding away in the game. https://twitter.com/harshmallowy/status/1363617616452071429 TheBluegeek (talk) 12:00, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
Dinosaur Planet Website Content + More Archives
Requested to add these to the article by grampaglasses in the discord server.
Found a thread at https://www.therwp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35709 which contained some goodies, including stuff long lost from the "RARE" webpage for Dinosaur Planet (originally seen at http://www.rareware.com/recent/games/dino/).
Original files there were the following: http://www.mediafire.com/file/yog0yzokddz/Dinosaur_Planet_Media.zip/file http://www.mediafire.com/file/1mdymwjmzmy/Dinosaur_Planet_Media.sitx/file http://www.mediafire.com/file/zdzimn5yymw/Dinosaur_Planet_Media_Archive_new_work.zip/file
These were superseded today after the OP (eisnerguy1) gave us a combined version in the Discord server, possibly containing more content than the archives above. This can be found at: http://www.mediafire.com/file/749tm34t6691294/Dinosaur_Planet_Media_2020_02_23.zip/file
Someone else can probably decide what is best to do with the files inside and where they should go, etc. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tongara (talk) • (contribs)
Map Spawn Information
Found a list of coordinates that warp you to safe spots in maps in the ROM and made a GS code to make use of them. It's not clear if there's anything unused here, but here are the instructions on what do to. Might be of use to figure out if anything is unused.--Punk7890 (talk) 07:32, 28 February 2021 (UTC)
Compiled for GameCube Hardware?
So, a friend of mine is really into Star Fox stuff. Needless to say, he jumped at the chance to play this prototype, even if it wasn't technically a Star Fox game until later on. We've been talking back-and-forth about it, having theories and whatnot, and he came up with this one that kind of struck me:
There is something I wonder about with Dinosaur Planet. Given that we were told that Fox was added after the decision to move the game to the GameCube, and given the less than ideal map loading this ROM and the numerous crashes, all of which weren't on the E3 prototype. I have to wonder if this ROM was actually supposed to be compiled for the GameCube, not the N64.
Now, I don't know too awfully much about execution code and whatnot, but I do know that he's right about the development cycle – at least as far as anyone knows. It seems odd that we would end up with an N64 ROM that has a model (and occasional dialogue) swap of Sabre for Fox given the decisions that took place. So… what if this was compiled with GameCube hardware in mind? Or at least a more powerful "development N64" system of some sort. (A little surprised it doesn't seem to need the Expansion Pak…)
