Senran Kagura: Burst Re:Newal is a remake of the original Nintendo 3DS version, which is an updated version of Senran Kagura: Portrait of Girls. This game was also highly edited off of Estival Versus, because of some file naming and leftovers.

Unused Models
Character Heads
For some reason, there's up to 70 character heads present; more than the ones actually used. However, they all just use a copy of Asuka's head, except the texture files use a different format, GNF.
Unused Playable Characters
There's 6 unused playable characters. They normally only appear as bosses, but they have their own unique character ID, and can be played by using cheat engine to change the selected player's ID. They seem unfinished when playing as them however, but they're still playable nonetheless. For some strange reason, they all use Asuka's portraits, even though they have their own, and is used in the boss fights. The only portrait that makes sense is on the Shinobi select, since they normally can't be accessed there. They can also all level up normally.
Scarlet Yomi
Character ID 38 is Scarlet Yomi. She is normally fought in the Crimson Girls arc.
- She walks and runs really slowly, but jumping can make her go faster.
- She can only attack when airborne.
- When her burst is used, she does a throwing-like animation, turns red (more red than usual), but the burst attack doesn't work. There is also oddly a sakura petal effect around her.
- All of her Shinobi attacks work, except for a few missing sound effects.
- Her Frantic mode works, however it can't be activated normally. Only by force in training grounds. She can also attack on the ground normally when in Frantic mode.
- Her Shinobi transform animation works, but it plays in a black background, and her clothes don't come off. This can also only be viewed in training grounds, since the game starts her out in her Post-Transformation.
- Her victory animation works, fully complete as well.
Scarlet Hikage
Character ID 39 is Scarlet Hikage. She is normally fought in the Crimson Girls arc.
- Just like Scarlet Yomi, she walks really slow. However she can run fast, although she still uses her walking animation when running.
- Can only attack when airborne, just like Scarlet Yomi.
Scarlet Mirai
Character ID 40 is Scarlet Mirai. She is normally fought in the Crimson Girls arc.
- Just like the other 2, she walks really slow. She can run fast like Scarlet Hikage though, however her running animation is broken, as she only moves 1 leg.
- Can only attack when airborne, just like the other 2.
- When her burst is used, she does a throwing-like animation, turns red (more red than usual), but the burst attack doesn't work. There is also oddly a sakura petal effect around her.
- None of her attack effects work, though they still hit enemies.
- All of her Shinobi attacks work, except for no effects at all, besides 1 explode animation for the missiles. All the sound effects work though.
Scarlet Haruka
Character ID 41 is Scarlet Haruka. She is the final boss in the Crimson Girls arc.
- She can't move at all, since she never did in the boss fight.
- All of her attacks is just like the boss fight.
- She can't jump.
- When her burst is used, she does a throwing-like animation, turns red (more red than usual), but the burst attack doesn't work. There is also oddly a sakura petal effect around her. Her jacket also defaults in T-pose, and the gears fall to the ground. From this, she can also move a bit.
- Her Frantic mode can be activated in training grounds, however she can't attack at all.
- Her Shinobi attacks sort of work, but are broken. Using 1 scroll, is the same attack as the normal strong attack, though also the jacket defaulting in T-pose, and the gears falling to the ground. Using 2 scrolls doesn't do anything but T-pose. Using 3 scrolls is the same as the normal weak attack, though also T-pose.
- Her Shinobi transformation doesn't work. The sound effects for it play however, but the game immediately goes back to control of the player.
- When defeated by Homura, it plays the final attack scene from the Crimson Girls arc., however the player still has control of the camera.
- No victory animation, so the game takes the player right to the results screen.
- When completing a mission, the game takes it as a failure.
Scarlet Ryōki
Character ID 47 is Scarlet Ryōki. She is normally a boss in the Abyssal arc.
- Unlike the others, she actually walks and runs normally.
- She still can't attack from the ground. Only when airborne.
- When her burst is used, she does a throwing-like animation, turns green rather than red, but the burst attack doesn't work. There is also oddly a sakura petal effect around her.
- All of her Shinobi attacks work, except for missing sound effects. When using 3 scrolls, her halo strangely appears, since at this time, she hasn't died yet.
- Her Frantic mode works, however it can't be activated normally. Only by force in training grounds. She still can't attack on the ground either.
- Her Shinobi transform animation works, but it plays in a black background, and her clothes don't come off. This can also only be viewed in training grounds, since the game starts her out in her Post-Transformation.
- Her victory animation works, fully complete as well. However, the coffin is odd since she hasn't died yet.
Gessen Ryōki
Character ID 48 is Gessen Ryōki. She is normally a boss in the Abyssal arc. This one is most likely a separate character to remove her halo, since in this arc., she hasn't died yet.
- Unlike the others, she actually walks and runs normally.
- She can actually attack on the ground, as well as airborne.
Unlike the others, this can be activated normally outside of training grounds.
- Her victory animation works, fully complete as well. However, the coffin is odd since she hasn't died yet.
- She doesn't have her character name on the Shinobi select. It's just a "~".
Oddities
Strangely, every unused file with textures use a different texture format, which uses GNF. The used ones use DDS, however some of those are also unused.
