Placeholder Maps

These aren't from previous games in the series. I recognize the 9th image as Paralogue 10 and the 14th image as Paralogue 16, though there are differences looking more closely at the final layouts. Perhaps these were simply placeholder test maps to test the level's layout before models for the maps could be created? Furthermore, looking at the Serenes Forest link at the top of the page shows that I'm not the first to recognize the maps, since Serenes Forest already matched each placeholder to a corresponding used map. --TheGameMaster (talk) 09:38, 12 July 2015 (EDT)

To clarify further, a few of these prototype layouts are in fact based on previous Fire Emblem games, such as a village and another chapter map from Fire Emblem Gaiden, or one based on Silesia from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. In the final game there are some maps that are also a remake of earlier Fire Emblem maps, and the ones here are likely just in-development assets that didn't make the final cut. That is, that at one point these maps were intended to be used, but were replaced or redesigned, which is normal in a development cycle. We are pretty lucky to have found them in the final game still, as resources like these aren't really typical for the series at all! --Celice (talk) 22:18, 22 August 2015 (EDT)
I found a website that covers these maps in greater detail. There's also a bunch of other goodies as well.--Chpexo-sig.pngChpexo 23:35, 6 October 2015 (EDT)
That's already been linked to in the main To-do in the article. -Ehm (talk) 23:41, 6 October 2015 (EDT)

Chrom's S Supports

They're not unused per se, but they're not available to view in the main game, only in the Support Log, because Chrom gets automatically married after Chapter 11. Since they're not seen in gameplay, and obviously were intended to be until it was decided that Chrom should just auto-marry, can these at least be marked as an oddity or something? Robotortoise (talk) 01:53, 11 August 2015 (EDT)

Only Olivia fits that description since she is the only unit to join in Chapter 11. The rest join before Chapter 10 and can either battle Risen or play DLC with Chrom for the C, B, A, and S supports. --Sgv Sth (talk) 01:11, 12 August 2015 (EDT)
Wait, Sumia, Maribelle, Silly, and Female Robin's S supports can be viewed in-game normally? Anyways I should add the Olivia bit to the page. Robotortoise (talk) 12:53, 12 August 2015 (EDT)

Untranslated sound bites

Chrom's sound file

SE_VOICE_CHROM_EVT2_3.bcstm

This one of two sound files to be untranslated from the Japanese version. Apparently it's from chapter/event 2-3, and it's said by Chrom. It's located in with the confession streams. Can anyone translate this?

Lucina's sound file

SE_VOICE_MARTH_EVT2_3.bcstm

This one of two sound files to be untranslated from the Japanese version. Apparently it's from chapter/event 2-3, and it's said by Lucina. It's located in with the confession streams. Can anyone translate this stream?

Robotortoise (talk) 04:51, 4 October 2015 (EDT)

Okay, according to Joe from Jul, these are translated as follows:

Chrom's line:

"好きだ。これからずっとお前のそばにいる"

"I love you. I'll be with you from now on."

Lucina's line:

"今素直に愛を語ることはできません。それでも私は、いつもあなたを持っています"

"Right now I can't show my feelings for you. Even so, I'll hold on to you forever."

Now the question is: Are these used in the Japanese versions? I'll check the confession scenes, but they seem like they'd be in some chapter 23 event. Robotortoise (talk) 23:09, 6 October 2015 (EDT)

Panne Shopping Dialogue Differences?

Apparently the American and European copies of Awakening have different dialogue for shopping with Panne. The Fire Emblem Wiki lists her dialogue for buying equipment as "What silly things you humans will trade gold for!", while in the European version she says "You can buy tools with this useless gold? Humans...". The European sell dialogue is already listed on the wiki, and her only shopping dialogue that doesn't seem to have been altered is her forge dialogue. I haven't checked to see if any other characters have altered lines yet. --Iggy (talk) 20:27, 13 December 2015 (EST)

That's not even scratching the surface of the regional dialogue changes this game received. In particular, the DLC got a TON of changes. Robotortoise (talk) 14:19, 14 December 2015 (EST)

Don't mess with a taguel!

I found this soundfile in with the event quotes (not for crit quotes, as far as I know)

As a human-esque-thing

As a bunny

Is this an alternate critical line for Yarne? Is it used? Robotortoise (talk) 02:48, 21 March 2016 (EDT)

Unused map

I found this a while back. What do you guys think? Real or fake?--Lolcatzidk (talk) 21:51, 25 December 2017 (EST)

Release date of the eShop demo?

Do we have the release date of the eShop demo written down anywhere? I skimmed the main page, the demo subpage, and the prerelease subpage and can't find this information anywhere. I'm actually not sure where to find this information without digging through old video game news articles, anyone happen to know off the top of their head? L95 (talk) 00:20, 8 March 2024 (UTC)

According to this article, the demo was released January 17, 2013. Zidane4028 (talk) 02:38, 8 March 2024 (UTC)
