C+##

How should the locations for C+## debug be written out? There are 70 locations total, not 7. --Lair of Rockwhales 23:06, 3 July 2012 (EDT)

Probably just say they warp you to a certain location for a second and give one example. I don't think the clutter is worth writing out every single location. --Legoking831 23:23, 16 July 2012 (EDT)
You should make a Notes section to point out which location each number sends you to. --From: divingkataetheweirdo 23:25, 16 July 2012 (EDT)

Bonus areas?

I would like to clear this up once and for all: were there or were there not "bonus areas" in LEGO Island? I've seen various websites say that by getting red bricks for all the mini-games, 5 B's would appear on the Infomaniac's map which would lead you to extra areas. TV Tropes claims that it's in the manual, but I've looked and looked and can't find any mention of that in the manual. TV Tropes also says "the Information Center appears to include a few remnants of the GUI for this", but I don't see that in the game proper or on this website. What is the deal? --Headset Guy 00:20, 23 October 2015 (EDT)

There's nothing like that in the game, used or otherwise. I never finished the extractor I started for the game's (surprisingly complicated) resource archive format, but I did rip most of the non-3D-related graphics and there's nothing unused in them. I recall reading an interview with the game's designer somewhere where he talked about some of the features that didn't make it into the game, which might be the source of the misinformation. G+1 has a purpose!

The G+1 will not crash the game if the brickster has escaped. I have a video of it here if someone wants to describe it under the point form on the other page. https://youtu.be/GR9V2e6nJ5s (talk) 02:30, 29 February 2016 (EDT)

Good stuff. I recommend that you yourself add the relevant information for G+1 into the main page. You have more experience with the debugging controls. Also, the way things happen on TCRF, your findings would most likely rot on this talk page otherwise which would be a shame. --Cuber456 (talk) 17:09, 29 February 2016 (EST)

Cave

we all know the cave is there anything suggesting what may be behind the door? --Mrkoolnerd (talk) 00:11, 30 January 2017 (EST)

There is nothing behind the door, at all. Turn on debug mode and use U and D when you're above the door. There is absolutely nothing behind it and no way to even open it programmed in. Don't get your hopes up. --Legoking831 (talk) 18:33, 2 February 2017 (EST)

Beta version 9.0

A user on the Rock Raiders United forums has apparently acquired a beta copy of Lego Island. https://www.rockraidersunited.com/topic/8354-lego-island-beta/ They are not keen to release it for undisclosed reasons, however have posted a video of some of the beta with some changes (some unpolished behaviour, and little changes like the helipad). They have also posted an extensive change log detailing changes from older beta copies. Whilst it would be great to see a public release, please take care not to cause issues for the current holder of the beta, as they currently seem to have no intention of releasing it.

All the three unused BGM has been added.

I made a little modification, where i put the three unheard BGM posted by Lorin Nelson, i picked the HD versions of it by ProjectIsland.

Jun. 12, 1996 prototype

A prototype build of the game (dated June 12, 1996) exists in a relatively unknown partial leak of a possible backup of LEGO Island's source code dating from around December 1996. However, it only works on Windows 9x and XP.

Beta 9.0 leaked, should we document it here?

an ISO image of LEGO Island Beta 9.0 leaked online, should a proto page be made for it?

It should have a page, but we also should take the time to cover the differences properly. --From: CounterDiving (talk) 04:29, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

The LEGO Island Prototype now runs on Windows 10

After some tinkering, the prototype now works on Windows 10, althought it was more difficult than making it working on Win9x versions.
