They Hunger: Lost Souls is the sequel to the They Hunger trilogy (a set of Half-Life 1 modifications released from 1999-2001) that was in development from 2005-09 before getting canceled.

Two builds are known to exist, dated November 30, 2006 and April 2, 2008. This page will cover both.

New Game

The screens are different between builds, though both use Comic Sans.

Debug Menu

The Half-Life 2 debug menu is only present in the 2008 build.

Maps

The 2006 build has 7 compiled map files and 2 uncompiled map files, whereas the 2008 build is considerably farther along with 25 compiled map files and 10 uncompiled map files.
