MMX2 images
Please see User_talk:Xkeeper#MMX2_Picture_edits. I edited the big MMX2 image that contained four smaller images to be usable with the <gallery> tag. I feel your other image should be split as well, but it's not as bad as File:Mmx2_ud1.png was. --Tauwasser 12:54, 9 April 2010 (EDT)
Oh no, administrator!
You're an administrator now because, you know, you contribute a lot and can help clean up messes. That means:
Protips for blocking!
- Expiry: Infinite (for obvious vandalism, otherwise let me know)
- Reason: Be creative
- Options:
- Prevent account creation
- Automatically block the last IP address used by this user, and any subsequent IPs they try to edit from
- Prevent user from sending e-mail
- Watch this user's user and talk pages (don't bother with this one)
Use it wisely! --Xkeeper 16:35, 17 May 2010 (EDT)
- Thank you much, man! What I lack in game digging skills, I make up for in idiot ass-kicking. -- Rick 16:40, 17 May 2010 (EDT)
Wolf3d Beta page
I see you're starting on it. Don't forget to upload the remnants of the VGA version (the pillar, the Hitler poster and the metal wall with the calender on it). Teflon 18:53, 19 November 2010 (EST)
- Working on it! I don't know much about the VGA mode to be honest. All I've done is extract a ton of graphics from the game. Perhaps you can assist me with this? -- Rick 20:30, 19 November 2010 (EST)
- http://planetromero.com/2001/05/happy-birthday-wolf-3d. Full overview of what I'm talking about. I meant "EGA" tho. Whoops. :O Teflon 21:18, 19 November 2010 (EST)
- That's some pretty neat EGA stuff! You know of any other spots that mention differences and what-not about the beta? It's just to see if I can alleviate some of the other stuff I have to do on the page. -- Rick 21:57, 19 November 2010 (EST)
- Not off the top of my head. I think Romero's post and the page you're working on are really the only info out there about prototype versions of Wolf 3D. Teflon 22:04, 19 November 2010 (EST)
- Alright, here's hoping. What I really need to do is figure out how to enable Debug Mode in the Alpha. You got any way of finding that out? -- Rick 22:26, 19 November 2010 (EST)
- Nope. I have absolutely no programming skills. :s Have you tried -goobers? Teflon 22:43, 19 November 2010 (EST)
- Not yet. I can't seem to get any parameter lines working in DOSBox. Also, -goobers was used as the debug mode from version 1.1 and later. I'm guessing the code will be -next like it is in 1.0, unless it's been changed.
- Haha oh man, I feel stupid for forgetting about that.
- For DOXbox, have you tried DOSShell? It lets you set up easy to use shortcuts for usign DOSBox with games and lets you easily imput parameters. Teflon 00:29, 20 November 2010 (EST)
- I'll be trying it now! Thanks! -- Rick 12:49, 20 November 2010 (EST)

Categorization, capitalization, and you
Be sure to use proper capitalization when categorizing your images, because MediaWiki is picky like that. SNES != snes. :P --BMF54123 17:44, 18 December 2010 (EST)
Oh. That's a first. o_O Thanks. -- Rick 19:07, 18 December 2010 (EST)
Breath of Fire 2 debug stuff
Hey, thanks for finally getting that stuff up! You did a better job than I would have... I'd never have known what some of those system-related options actually did. Moreover, I didn't even *know* about the in-game debug menu! Awesome job! *high-five* -YK 14:43, 24 November 2011 (EST)
No problem, man! I happened to bump across it while talking to a friend and him showing me a post on debug mode stuff. Man, lemme tell you, this thing is awesome. Now to only play with it more when I beat the game! *High five* -- Rick 14:56, 24 November 2011 (EST)
Is this used?
Recently I came across this video that is said to be in Smackdown vs Raw 2011 but for the life of me I have not played the game in a long time and I can't remember if its in there or not, so I thought you could help me since you seems to focus on the WWE/WWF brand of games? Thanks for the help. AK47Productions 23:28, 16 July 2012 (EDT)
- The Hurricane is used as a storyline character, but he can't be selected for any matches. Strangely enough, his music or Titantron can't be selected even in the storyline creation mode! I think that was when he was back doing the "interviewer" thing. Could have just as easily included him in the main roster, so... Rick 00:19, 17 July 2012 (EDT)

HELP!!!
I Thought i was in sandbox for the yoshi's island template but it was the template! please undo the unworthy, bad change! i got rid of it myself but i could not do it right... you can ban me if you need to...
- Mellow out, saeurkraut. Easy fix. :) Rick 13:31, 10 January 2013 (EST)
MK2 SNES
Would it make any difference if I said there was a image on the box of Shao Kahn having 00 Wins? That means a human player probably had him selected. It mystified people. This could be seen as evidence that secret characters and the bosses may have been meant to be playable at some point.--MathUser 14:45, 27 January 2013 (EST)
- Actually, that's from the proto (which is documented here), in which regardless of whether a human or CPU is controlling a character, it always shows the win counter. I thought that too until I got my hands on that proto. I'm pretty sure I posted that up but I'll check it, I might have missed that fact. Rick 14:53, 27 January 2013 (EST)
Strider Page
With your user page, can anyone edit it? I want to contribute to the Proto:Strider(NES) page. --Chpexo 21:47, 2 August 2014 (EDT)
Can audio files be downloaded?
On my iPad, I am given the option to use the VLC Media Player to hear the files, but on a PC or phone, with or without VLC, I can't. It also applies with downloading them. How can I hear/download the files on a computer or phone? Sultanofswag89 (talk) 19:56, 16 September 2017 (EDT)
Mortal Kombat II SNES BETA
Hello, I read your article about it and I'm wondering if you'd be willing to answer some questions about it. I'm really interested in knowing more details and maybe we can share some info. I own a cartridge with this version since perhaps 2000-2001 and I've seen some roms around the net.
Thanks in advance
- Maybe! Honestly, I just kinda found the ROM somewhere online and found a few differences to start the page with, hoping someone could work on it more. I haven't been able to fully look into it or anything. Rick (talk) 22:17, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
User insta-reverting my edits on a page...
Hello, brand new account here and I've got a issue with a guy who has ninja'd my edit away for very flimsy reasoning twice now on a page here.
The page is Category:Puzz Loop series and I was editing it to be a little more humorous about its relation to Zuma, which is a game very similar. Instead of it just saying "Zuma stole from this", it makes it more of a wink wink nudge nudge kind of deal, which I personally think is more fair on that whole situation.
You can see in the edit history I made my edit, and literally two minutes later "Zyxyz" cancels it with the dismissive "nah, too clunky" reasoning. I honestly don't know why, he'd never edited the page before this. I make a small change to it hoping it satisfies and it gets reverted two minutes later again with more words that feel dismissive.
I think you can understand why having an edit on a minor page that hasn't been touched in four years before now being taken out like this makes me a little bit annoyed and not super welcome.
All I'm asking for is for him to be warned about subjective insta-reverts like this and maybe disallowed from touching the page for two weeks or something so it gets out of mind. It's certainly not contentious (I don't think, at least) and shouldn't escalate into a giant edit war or something. Thanks! Jray4559 (talk) 01:45, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
- The sentence structure is kind of clunky and the wiki rules don't allow for edits that exist solely exist to add humor. The reversion seems justified.--FCandChill (talk) 02:34, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
- Additionally, Zyxyz has been an active contributor to this site for several years and is not just a "random discord-watcher" as you claim in your edit summary. FCandChill is correct, pages should not be edited just to try and make them funnier. Please do not change it again. --Rachel Mae (talk) 04:04, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
