This cactus is UNDER CONSTRUCTION
This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
Hmmm...
To do:
  • Clean up, add offsets/nearby hex values/exact strings.
  • Unused clothes.
  • There are leftovers of earlier iteraion of the Black Market mode, which has been in game files since release and before the March update.
  • Preload build.
  • There is definitely more unused content than what is listed below
  • Check if there are unused presets in files of the game
  • The cut K.S. kits for Lamborghini Countach and Land Rover Defender and Lamborghini Aventador, that were unintentionally added in January Update, only to be removed in later update.

Need for Speed Heat is a mixture of a Miami-inspired setting and car culture with a progression system similar to the Underground and Most Wanted-era games. The complete absence of microtransactions or randomized cards resulted in a game that is surprisingly decent in comparison to the last entry.

Unfortunately, the success of this game would lead Ghost Games to be dissolved in early 2020, with Criterion Games assigned to the series' next entry - only for them to be sent working on a future Battlefield game after Battlefield 2042 instead..., as well as the COVID-19 pandemic having contributed to the reason why the later Black Market DLC cars having never been released.

Unused Cars

1932 Ford Model 18

The hotrods that were introduced in Need for Speed 2015 are no longer in Need for Speed Heat after its latest appearance in Payback, the only thing that remained is the car model of the 1932 Ford Model 18 and all of its customization parts.

Although it can be unlocked in PC version with modifications.

Generic Speedshape

A model made for demonstrating material types in the paint menu with a basic car-like shape for its body. It appears to be using the rims from a 2017 Nissan GT-R (R35).

To do:
There is certainly more.

Update 1.4

Update 1.4 was released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 21, 2019.

Optimization

  • The loading screen before the start of night races have been reduced. During the race start, the visual effects will be less spectacular during the intro and start of a night race. More specifically, there'll be no fancy lights, smoke, fire or spectator's cars.
