Need for Speed Heat is the mixture of a Miami-inspired setting and car culture complete with no microtransactions and randomized cards, all with a progression system similar to the Underground and Most Wanted-era games. This would result in a game that is surprisingly decent in comparison to the last entry. Unfortunately, the success of this game would leave Ghost Games to be dissolved in early 2020, with Criterion Games assigned to the series' next entry - only for them to be sent working for a future Battlefield game instead...

Motorcycles

Data for two motorcycles, Honda CB1100EX 2018 (bike_honda_cb1100ex_2018) and BMW S1000RR 2019 (bike_bmw_s1000rr_2019) can be found on the game data, with one of the motorcycles also having working model. Ghost Games later confirmed there are no plans to make the motorcycles playable.
