Jurassic Park: Trespasser had a very difficult development to say the very least. This page will tell you the story of this development. For more content see the sub-page below.

Development Timeline

1995

  • Circa. 1995 - The game starts development.

1996

1997

  • Fall 1997 - The game was projected to release around this time frame but delayed into next year because of the game increasing complexity and numerous other problems.

1998

  • April - DreamWorks Interactive informs the development team that as part of a deal with AMD, the game would need to be released in October of this year. Producer Seamus Blackley estimated Trespasser needed at least another year of development to be release-ready at this point.
  • May 27 - The E3 Prototype is complied on this date.
  • June 16th - The PC Gamer Preview Prototype is complied around this date.
  • July 27th - Build 55 is complied on this date.
  • September 21st - Build 96 is complied.
  • September 22nd - Build 97 is complied. This build is identical to Build 96.
  • September 24th - Build 99 is complied on this date.
  • September 28th - Build 103 is complied.
  • October 11th - Build 116c is complied. It is identical to the final release outside of very minor things.
  • October 12th - The final build is complied.
  • October 28th - The game releases. The demo is released not long after this.
