On January 26th, 2023, After more than a year of forced exclusivity to Stadia, Hello Engineer had a demo released on Steam, containing 13 levels, and a whole boatload of unused content (most of it placeholders and older game pieces!)

Secret Neighbor Textures

  • All of the Secret Neighbor textures for both the Children and the Neighbor remain in the game files for this demo, While the Children have used the SN Textures and Models up until the current build, Theodore has not used his SN Model since Early Beta

Cut Features

Survival Mode

  • Originally, This game was a Survival Game where you played as Theodore making big contraptions, Unfortunately, This was cut, However almost all of the texture files for this remain in the files.
  • More icons for this mode are the D-pad icons for the bottom right of the screen, Including 3 unused features, A pickaxe, axe, and a brush.

Concept Art

  • This build has a suprising amount of concept art in the files, Even revealing the WIP name for the game was Hello Neighbor Engineer

Main Menu Concepts

In-game Concepts

  • The following concepts are way before even Hello Neighbor Engineer, We have no idea what timeframe these mockups were made in.
