This page details one or more prototype versions of Jimmy Neutron vs. Jimmy Negatron (Game Boy Advance).

...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.

On November 8th, 2022, an anonymous user inexplicably leaked the entirety of Jimmy Neutron vs. Jimmy Negatron for Game Boy Advance's source code. This also includes over 50 milestone builds from throughout 2002.

  • Dated January 14th, 2002, this is the earliest known build of the game.
  • It boots straight into a primitive version of the hub world with no main menu, and contains nothing to interact with.
  • There is no audio whatsoever.
  • The sky consists of a looping grey gradient.
  • Jimmy can walk off the edge.
  • Pressing select toggles a free camera mode.

  • Dated February 4th, 2002.
  • It boots into an early version of the computer world, consisting of mainly blue colors.
  • The controls are noticeably more sluggish, as Jimmy has a stronger sense of momentum when turning.

  • Dated March 1st, 2002.
  • The main menu is now implemented, and contains placeholder text. You can also move left and right to the other options, though nothing seems to happen.
  • The main screen takes you to the hub world with a different layout from the final game.
  • Zachary is seen near the spawn point, and approaching him causes Jimmy to greet him.
  • Jimmy is very quick to go into his idle animation, as he starts waving at the screen within one second of not pressing a button.
  • The hub world has a different background, with grey mountains against a black sky.
  • The computer world level now has a green background.

  • Dated March 9th, 2002.
  • Basic sound effects are now added.
    • The jump sound has a one second delay.
  • The main menu now has more proper dialogue.
    • The options and multiplayer menus off to the left and right aren't yet functional.
  • The multiplayer mini-games are present on the merry-go-round, but are not yet accessible or even part of the game.

  • Dated April 29th, 2002.
  • Music is now implemented.
  • Company logos are seen at startup, though there's not yet a title screen and it takes you straight to the main menu.
  • The main computer screen and options window now have a black background instead of a dark green.
  • The multiplayer mini-games are now accessible, though selecting them causes the game to freeze on a black screen.
  • Jimmy now spawns toward the middle of the hub world.
  • The background is now the blue cloudy sky seen in the final game.
